Service A / B

I was told by my svc advisor that service should be done in alternate order... Service A this time, then service B next...then back to A and then B so on so forth.. Is that true?

GLS 450 (2022), EQE SUV 350 (2025). GLS 450 (2007)
When I bought my new 2025EQE SUV, different people at the dealership told me different service intervals. One person told me it needed to come in every year, and the salesman told me every two years. Does anyone know what the correct interval? actually is? Thank you.

What do you see:
- in Mercedes Me?
- when logged in on the website?
- in the car in MBUX?

All three are telling me 2 years (actually now 2 yrs and 3 months...which, I think, is because my mileage is so low. Only about 7 000 miles after 1 1/2 years.)

Should be every 20,000 miles. Brake fluid is the key concern. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, so it absorbs moisture, even if you're not driving. Thus, if you don't drive 20k miles in 2 years, you should probably come in around that time period. The car will tell you what is ideal. Everything else depends on your vehicle. Our SUV has the HEPA filtration system in it, so that should be replaced at 20k miles. My sedan doesn't have this, but it still gets cabin air filters, just cheaper ones. The only other maintenance item really is tire rotation, which I do myself every 5k miles. I bring in for balancing every 10-15k miles. Just had alignment done on my sedan after 28k miles, it was remarkably within spec. Just a teeeeeny adjustment on rear camber for rear steer on one side.

Yes electric vehicles don't have oil change after all so some EQ models skip straight to Service B.
