Update on EQE United States Pricing

As you already know the i4 competes with the 4 series and is based on the same platform as the ICE vehicle so they didn't have to spend R&D on an entirely new platform. The i4 therefore competes with the C-Class, one tier below the E-Class hence why it should be cheaper than the EQE.

PFL205.064 with M276.823 (Oil pump solenoid defeated)
Edit: Not saying it is the right thing or wrong thing to do or anything, MB did market the vehicle as an E-Class of the electric vehicles and the name "EQE" alone they think it is worth more than the C-Class.

@W205C43PFL , I think, we all agree that the pricing makes the EQE so expensive even with the base model. So, it is out of my reach. I'm also surprised that MB does not participate at this year's LA auto show. I just want to see the car before it shows up at the car dealership.

Thanks for this info! Just put a deposit on an EQE 500. No allocations on the 500 yet but there are a few orders in on the 350, with some in the port already. They said I should get the first allocation on the 500.

@icwhatudidthere Wow , you are fast, won't you wait for the test drive? I would like to know if they have the green color for the EQE.

The dealer mentioned they've got a few sitting in port already so assuming there's no holds on them, they should be available pretty soon.
My options came out to around $95k for an EQE 500 Pinnacle with a few options. They said they'll only charge markup if I went for an AMG package so I avoided those and will be paying MSRP.

I've read in the Carscoops.com site today, and the news is MB EQE sale in China is so slow, they have to lower the price to $67K. If it happens in the US, I think it's great news.

Youtuber reviews were saying MB designed the EQ cars and their sad shape and profile to appeal to the Chinese market. Evidently it's so ugly even they won't buy it.

If the Chinese have so much taste why do they dress like they do and why do they eat with sticks?

Worry not. There is no objective "ugly" and no objective "beautiful"...same for "better" or "worse". Things are just either the same or different from other things. There is only each individual's reaction to what they see. If enough people like something, it sells to the manufacturer's plan. If not, it doesn't, but that just means fewer people individually found it beautiful. It has no effect on the reality of the object being seen. If you were among a smaller group that found something beautiful, that would just make you less of a common person. Some people strive for that distinction.

I drove a red 300 for 14 years. I love red Mercedes. There are very few of them. Unfortunately MB is now limiting color selection to multiple shades of drab colors. There are a few exceptions for certain models. Long gone are brighter colors of green, lime, orange, apricot, beige and light blue. In 1976 one had a choice of 39 standard colors for their Mercedes..

My very first one, a 1971 300SEL, was black over cream or ivory.
Picked it up in Vienna, drove it 5,000 miles to Greece and back to Italy and Germany, then another 100,000 miles until the air suspension broke down permanently.

I learned to drive at age 15.5 with my mom and her eight year-old red 300E that she bought used. It was glorious and a beautiful color, and marked our arrival into the middle class. As an immigrant to America, she always thought as a child that owning a Mercedes was an impossible dream.
The big fail with MB and the EQ design is that it’s nearly universally riled as ugly, whereas the new Prius is being near universally praised, granted the previous generation was abhorrent.

EQE 500 order book open
Just got off the phone with the dealer. US order book on the 500 is available and they’re putting in the order now!
Sounds like blue and red are unavailable completely at the moment. They only listed the free colors and the Magno and Alpine Gray.
