It'll probably retry in a few days. If not, take it to a dealer, they'll manually run the update for you. I haven't seen this update show up on my EQE yet, so maybe they decided not to release it globally yet.

I totally get the frustration - I'd feel it too! I'm very hands-on with firmware and software updates, I like to have control over it. That being said, the number one most important thing for your car is that it continues to be a car. If your smartphone firmware update fails, you can always switch phones or have it repaired. If your car fails, it's a more serious issue. For this reason, I'm sure MB is extremely cautious in how updates are run and provisioned. If you want it done earlier, just call up your dealer, I'm sure they'll be happy to do it for you!

That is a good way to look at it probably makes OP feel better that MB is ensuring their car is stable and runs as designed instead of just having every new feature throw at you which may or may not be buggy.
