23 EQE 350 4Matic
Have 1 question. I don’t lock my doors when I’m in the house garage but noticed the handles stay out/lights around then handles stay lit. Does that drain the battery? Can I turn that off?
Assume I’d read about it in the manual but wanted to ask.
Excited to have the EV!

Also, on the app, I am charging and it shows kw/h, can I change to be miles/hour charge? I think more in miles vs. kw.

See in the Mercedes Connect App it says for more ‘digital extras’ I should use the Me app….thought all 19 or older were to use Connect?
Just want to make sure I’m getting the most out of the auto and the app!

I am a bit confused......am I not connected to a data plan and need to get one?
Firstly, a lot of the connectivity stuff is very market dependent. You will enhance the quality of the responses to your questions, stc, by indicating which country you're in. I had initially assumed US, but then you mentioned BBC...
Anyway for me, here in Sweden, it was complicated to understand and setup and I make this comment coming from 30 years in IT. I think a lot of it has to do with all the moving parts (i.e. different providers and companies) that try to partner to make this happen -- and it's different in every market.
I got the same "internet connection not strong enough" message when trying to listen to BBC news blurbs...until I signed up for a dedicated internet-in-the-car mobile subscription (here in Sweden, a collaboration between TeleNor and Vodafone). Once I got this set up, my BBC & other news blurbs worked.
It sounds like you may already have an internet-in-the-car subscription for one year with T-Mobile?? If so, then perhaps there's just a missing step you need to go through, which is something I had to do. Once you have that subscription, you need to go to your car (with your phone) and go through the internet setup procedure until you get a QR code to come up on the MBUX screen. Scan that and it should take you to where you can log-in to your T-Mobile account. This action "pairs" the account and the car. At least that's what it did for me. I'm trying to remember this from when I did it nearly 5 months ago, so my recollection may be a little garbled...but the main point is, you need to pair the car with the account...and this "aha moment" worked for me when I was in the car, with my phone and scanned a QR code.
Another comment on this news service stuff. I thought it would be cool to be able to ask Hey Mercedes to play me the headlines...and it was...until the end of Dec 2023, when BBC stopped issuing their news summaries for this type of service. Yes, I can get The Economist, WSJ Europe and some other stuff...but nothing like BBC global news summary in a couple of minutes. And, I have come to learn that the news services available for you to configure in your Mercedes Me app is based on the language you have selected for MBUX. In my case, though I live in Sweden, I have the whole car and MMe configured in English because that's my native language. I can understand why Mercedes did this, but it's a cheap and incomplete way of handling language & service options, in my opinion. The only way I can get local Swedish news is by switching the entire car configuration to Swedish. I realize I could do this with a button push, but I hesitate...again because I am coming from 30 years in IT and have an idea of the myriad things that can go wrong if everything tied to language wasn't programmed by experts and tested extensively.

- If I go into the app and slide to 'activate', it will start the climate process then and stops when it hits my set temp....correct?
- If I go it the app and set a day/time and temp, it will ensure when I get to the car, at or around the set time, the temp will be at set...correct

I have not yet determined if it is a feature but if I have found that the charging will not start if there is an active schedule. It is easy to fix by disabling the schedule but you could get caught out if it does not charge when you expect it to.
