My salesman just emailed me an updated options list for my build. I was finally able to get the 445 Augmented HUD instead of the 444 HUD I had mistakenly ordered.
Upon reviewing the option list, something new showed up: Code 04U - Transparent Bonnet. Does anyone know what that is?

It's a feature where the cameras show what's under the car.
Thank you for the response. Do you know if it's standard or optional?
This feature was introduced in the new GLC, and the ordering guide still isn't available for that. It's unclear if if's optional or standard. I will post again if I find out.
The GLC also offers a "transparent hood": when the off-road mode is active, the central display shows a virtual view under the front of the vehicle, including the front wheels and their steering position. The view is composed of the images from the 360-degree camera. There are two views: under the vehicle and looking ahead. At speeds up to 5 mph the "transparent hood", i.e. the view under the vehicle, is shown. From 5 to 12 mph the system shows the view ahead. The camera image is switched off at higher speeds. The "transparent hood" is extremely helpful: it enables the driver to recognize obstacles such as large stones or deep potholes in their path at an early stage. The optional Parking package with 360-degree camera is a prerequisite for the "transparent hood", this feature is standard for the GLC 300 4MATIC.
My SA told me my alpine grey 580 order is in build status now and won’t be modifiable soon. The running boards didn’t make it in, which makes sense given the latest order guide update. I was kinda hoping to get them though. Anyone know if they can be added by the dealer after delivery?
It seems like the star grill was removed from standard features. Cars without it (seems to be almost all cars built since December) don't have it, but don't have a credit for missing standard either. I've seen one recent built car with it, it also had the illuminated star option so maybe they're tied together now.
Side note, that same car (vin 4JGDM4EB1PA011225 at MB Littleton) also has the night package, which was never officially in the order guide but apparently was available breifly on netstar according to another forum member. So we might see a dozen or so night package equipped EQS SUVs.
Saw an EQS SUV on leasehackr with a super odd window sticker/build sheet. First of all, it has the wireless headphones but no rear seat entertainment. It also has the heated washers but no winter package. But the big question is what the hell is the convenience package and what does the $2,750 get you??
@Eaton can you point to the new order guide for EQS SUV? Do I understand correctly that a new one was posted about a month ago so there wouldn't be an update for a while. Are the news ones for "2024" models.

Thanks,\
The newest order guide is in the first post in this thread.
Hi all, does anyone know if dealers honor the MBCA rebate of $4500 for ordered cars? I was told by a sales associate that those rebates don't apply to ordered cars. Can anyone confirm?
