I may add it prior to production. I don't really need it though so will discuss with wife. It does delay the car doesn't it?

Probably will delay the car, but if you never use them it shouldn’t hurt, I imagine the third row will be in large demand since the only other three-row EV is the Model X.

Congrats on getting your order in. My order request also shows Decade Year as 2018, odd. Our builds are very similar other than the paint color which are both white but you select Polar and I selected Diamond Metallic. I've owned three previous MB SUV's, all Diamond White. MB's just look great in white for some reason.

Actually I simply copied your details and changed the color to polar white. I need car sooner and didn’t want any additional delays.
Hope MB adds heads up display with AR.

One thing I noticed on my build sheet is no mention of the aerodynamic running boards. The DOG only mentions them for the 480 with December production. Are those standard on the 580?

MB running boards may be helpful for children but useless for adults IMO. And they tend to make your pant leg dirty. I didn't see them listed n the DOG but I would pass either way. This talk of how aerodynamic they are is a bit suspicious for me. When I heard the many reviewers mention that MB told them this, I smiled to myself and thought what a great way to sell over-priced running boards. This model sits so low to the ground, adults would never use them.

agree 100%. I’ve had three GLS‘s that had the narrow running boards and never use them because they were useless.

I ordered a Chargepoint Home Flex but killed the order when I realized that the cords (input cord, and charging cord) were probably too short for my setup. Ordered a 40a Juicebox 14-50 version. In stock and 50 bucks off right now on their website, if interested. Plenty of time to wait though, too, but what can I saw, I want an EV!

Are people actually able to Order a specific build
Our dealer in Santa Rosa CA will take $1000 from us, but will not take order specs. All we have is a verbal statement that we are 8th in line for an EQS 580 SUV should the dealership get any allocations at some time. No specs, no pricing, no real promises. Are other dealers taking true "orders?"

I placed order request thru two dealers, Fairfield, CA (Bay Area) and Santa Barbara, SoCal. Both took refundable deposits and gave me order request paperwork something similar to JoeMa's. I know with Santa Barbara I'm first in the line and not sure about Fairfield. I placed order at Fairfield only last week and don't think they have 8 people in the line.
Also, I have no clue on dealer order allocations and whether dealer will follow the order of reservations received etc, fingers crossed...

I remember reading somewhere that you can only get the receiver hitch option with 5 seat configuration. So if you want to put a bike rack on the receiver hitch then you have to order 5 seat configuration.
