When Plug-and-Charge doesn't work I start the EA charging from the Mercedes Me app on the Navigation page.

Step 1. Pull up to charger
Step 2. Plug in.
Thats all I have had to do for the past year. Works fine.
Only issue I have experienced is one charger would not connect to vehicle. Got a little worried, but used the one next to it and no problem.
I have also run beyond 30 minutes and no issue either. Just kept charging and no fees.

The last two times that I charged using the app and reached 30 minutes on the charger and disconnected ChargePoint charged me way more than the kW rate, one time $7.20 and the other time $21.76. CP claimed that I was plugged in for something like an hour for the big one.

I have also read on other threads that you can disconnect before the 30 minutes. Unplug and plug back in to get another 30.

My plug and charge at every EA or CP stations, no need to play with apps or rfid card. Now finding an EA station that work is another story. EA suck!

Not luck. The 30-minute time limit was not enforced until after October 2023. It's not clear to me if the one hour no charge period between charges has been implemented since it's not uncommon to restart or move to another charger within a 30-minute session.
