My 580 should be arriving in the next week and it has the same wheels in your picture. The 580 was originally ordered by the dealership and they chose the options. I’ll have to see the wheels in person to decide whether I like them or not. The 580 is black so I may have the gray accents painted black also….
When I ordered my 580, I was surprised that there were only 2 wheel options. I chose RWO - 21" AMG Five-Spoke Wheels w/ Matte Grey Aero Accents.
After looking at many photos of the EQS SUV in this forum and online, it seems that this is a rarely chosen option.
Any opinions?

I did not like those meshes covering the entire face of the wheel. My wife thought they were fine. Everyone will have different preferences. Go to a nearby dealer and see if you like them

Exactly my thought, I'm not a big fan of the meshes either. My dealer has 3 SUV's on his lot, all with the RWI option. I really don't think either option is that great. But, I'll file it under the heading of "First World Problem"
Everyone has their personal preferences but IMO this is the ugliest option 😂 but is the most mileage friendly . My dealer refused to swap out for a diff wheel option. We found another one with RWI and that one looks great 👍 although more work to clean.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about them either, and I think RWI is pretty bland for a car of this magnitude. Removing the gray inserts (if possible) might be interesting. My wife's $60k Volvo XC40 Recharge has much nicer (machined surfaces) wheels.
I think the reason you so many RWI is because that is the only option available if you have the 3rd row seat option. I think it is because the RWI is the staggered version of RWX and it probably has to do with additional weight with 3rd row.
If you don't have 3rd row option and you are getting a 580, you have to go RWO or RWX (looks same as RWI, but not staggered).
Just picked up my CPO 2020 GLS 580 with the staggered Black Accent wheels in 23” sizing if you’re looking to trade for 21” anyone? Unclear why it was a $3K “option”; comes w newer Pirellis from Dealer.
