Anyone Figured How Many Miles Per KW They Are Getting…
With sane/normal driving? Only had my 580 for two days and have been joyfully testing how well it accelerates plus on the freeway today was involved in a group going well over the speed limit so I know my usage is terrible.

I'm getting a little over 3 miles per kWh which is better than the EPA rating, and better than our Audi E-tron or Model X. This is mixed driving (city and highway) and in moderate temperatures. So I expect it to get worse over the winter.
With our current average we would get 335 miles of range.
I'll be driving our EQS from Colorado to Phoenix over Thanksgiving and should get a sense of the efficiency on a long road trip.

Just for reference.
The EPA rating of 285 miles is an efficiency of 2.65 miles / kWh. So it seems the EQS SUV will be another example of an EV easily exceeding it's EPA range. Contrary to other EVs *cough Tesla cough* which don't come close to their EPA rating.

Efficiency typically depletes 2-5% annually based on usage and charging behaviors .. so EPA estimates are inline when averaged over time.
And yes .. Teslas start off much lower than EPA and get worse every year 😝

Our ChargePoint Home Flex tracks every kWh used and the Mercedes me app tracks the total miles traveled. Divide your total miles by the total kWh. To calculate how much electric is costing you, take the per kWh price you paying for electricity times the kWh used. One tip, do not go by the average rate some electric companies use as comparison. Divide your total monthly electric charge by the kWh used, that is your true cost per kWh. With taxes and other fees our kWh rates is about 17 cents per kWh and going up to 19 cents December 1st.

Some other EV’s show you your average Miles per Kilowatt and you can re-set the option to start over anytime. Something MB appeared to miss.

I found the screen above. It is showing 2.4mpkWh. low compared to what others here are getting. How accurate is this? With the exception of my drive to work today, most of this is driving from OKC to Austin at highway speeds

also any idea why these are still showing pending in the Chargepoint app? I do now see the Bellmead charge in my Mercedes Me app, under My Transactions, but the Denton charge is not showing up. That is the one where I went over by 1 min and still have no idea how I will be charged for that because I have not put my credit card in the Chargepoint app. Any idea how this all works?

Talking to previous and current EV owners once you drive over 65mph the m/Kw starts to drop and every 10 mile per hour multiple above 65mph will make the mileage drop drastically. Just in my 5 days of ownership I’ve caught myself multiple times driving 85 on the freeway thinking I was going 55. The EQS has such a smooth quiet ride one can be fooled easily. It’s ride is similar to the humongous Lincoln Towne Cars of the early 1970’s.

You will have to freeway drive under 65 mph to get close to the EPA mileage.
I hate the ECO setting as it only allows you to drive the posted speed limit. I drive a 15 mile stretch of Interstate 10 west of Houston twice a week and even though the construction has been finished for a long time the orange barrels and safety signs are still out with a posted speed of 55. In Eco mode I’m going 55 when everybody else is driving 85. I doubt I will ever use it again.
