climate control via the app

HI,

I have an EQS SUV, i see on the app there should be an option to turn on the climate settings as a one time use and set the temp. however on my app, it only lets me do a predeparture set up. Also in regards to the climate control, it does let me turn it on from the app however i can not set temp.

What am I doing wrong?

Click on the "Pre-Entry Climate Control" menu.

Drag the blue slider at the bottom from "Deactivate" to "Activate"

Click on the Temperature menu to set the temperature and heated seat zones. Click on an individual zone to make adjustments.

Not sure what to say. Do you have the latest App version? Seems odd the "Temperature" menu is missing.

I have no idea why there seems to be two different apps for the remote pre-entry climate control. I suppose how sophisticated yours is depends on the trim level that you bought and mine also does not have any temperature settings and is very plain.

For those of us that have the entry-level set up all you have to do is push the slider over to activate and the car will turn on the climate control at whatever the last setting was when you got out of the car. I have used this at the grocery store. About five minutes before we are going to check out I just push the slider to activate and the car is warm by the time we get out to the parking lot. In the summer I plan on doing the same thing but having the air conditioning set when we leave the car parked to go into the store.

I believe the set up will run by itself for 15 minutes then turns off to save battery energy. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Mine never gives me any option for the seats or for temperature. It just starts running at whatever was set in the car when I left.

After I hit the activate slider on the next screen I had to select temperature and then all 4 seats came up with individual temperature settings. Hope that helps.

Same problem with me. My screen never offers the temp control menu. And I have the optional 4 zone climate control on my 450+

Same here, I have 4-zone climate control. After I Activate, I go to Temperature and can set the individual areas or enable Entire Vehicle for both Zone and Seats.

So the ones who have it. Do you have a 450+?

I have a 450+ with the 4 zone option. If someone has the same spec and is getting them temp option then obviously something is wrong.

I have a 450 4Matic with the 4 zone option.

Have any of you tried logging out of the app and re-logging in? Maybe even delete the app and reinstall? So odd that it's not the same for everyone.

Please update when you hear back. I have a 450 4matic with 5 zone climate and I don’t see the individual zone temps on the app either.

Keep in mind you must first Activate Preconditioning before the temp controls are enabled.

I did and the fan icon in the screen starts animating but I don’t have specific temp controls either just like the other users. I do have the lowest trim if that makes a difference. So 450 4matic with premium trim and 5 zone climate.

Same here. No temp. icons even after activating it. Level of trim should not matter. My wife's Hyundai and my daughters Subaru both allow you to precondition to a specific temp via the app on the phone. I will be very disappointed if my 450+ has less tech than a Hyundai!

I believe its a defect. Why would some people have it and others don't?

I will call Mercedes and report back.

for those who can't use app, you might want to call your dealer or mb usa to finalize your app registration.
I got my car last week and a lot of services on my Mercedes me connect shows inactive (including lock/unlock door). I spoke to dealer (I bought from nor cal and I live in so cal, so I can't visit dealer) and their tech look into my Mercedes me connect in Mercedes database said my registration is incomplete. although in my app it there is nothing more I can do.

so the tech just finish my registration and I got notification from app said "registration complete" and all the services are active.

They opened a TIER 2 tech support ticket to see what's going on. Thankful for the thread to see that people do have it working as it should. Will report back with any updates.

Same here — I can turn on climate but there’s no way to set temperature etc. I wonder if it’s not just the app version but also the MBUX version that matters. Perhaps there will be an OTA update that unlocks it.

I thought my Mercedes Me app did not have the setting for temperature but I just had a look and now it does have it. Must have been gone for some time but now brought back at least here in Europe.

I just wonder how does it interact with settings from the car. I guess it keeps settings from the app also after the pre-entry climate control session.

Any update on this? My car was in service for 3 weeks while I was out of the country for the holidays. They updated to E329 software, but I'm still not seeing any temperature setting.

I also get setup incomplete message randomly, but dealer checked and said all services were active on my account.
