Yes it is, but it is still $15,045 (12.76%) more expensive than the EQS SUV in US$. I do not have a good understanding of German, but I believe the S Class is better equiped than the E Class. The main features of the AMG are more power, harsher suspension and firmer seats.
The EQE sedan and SUV in the United States are also priced terribly close (way too close) to the EQS sedan and SUV to make any sense. The EQE line is priced so poorly that it makes the EQS line seem like a much better value proposition. Why spend $85k - $95k for a decently optioned RWD EQE350 when the EQS sedan or SUV can be had at a starting price just a few thousand more?
Who in their right mind would spend $140,000 on an EQE AMG when you can spend $150,000 and get an EQS AMG and get a whole lot more car. The $140,000 EQE AMG doesn't even have a hyper screen. It blows my mind.
We can't see what options those cars have but that same dealership also has an EQE350+ that is $80k. If there's no markup, an EQE should come in around $20k less than an equivalently-equipped EQS with the exception that the EQS will be 450 vs EQE 350, etc. Car and Driver tested an EQE350 4MATIC Pinnacle trim that stickered for $94k and I spec'd out a similar EQS450 and it was over $110k and didn't have the hyperscreen either. You can't currently build an EQS 450 4MATIC but the option adds $3000. Cheapest hyperscreen EQS is $126k.
That $99k EQE RWD you linked smells like it has a markup because I can't see how they got to $100k with options alone unless they just checked every single box.
But yea, I agree, the EQE is overpriced considering how much competition there is right above/below it with the same amount of performance and features.

Yeah, the EQE AMG from Buckhead is $20k dealer markup. In the northeast, I found one at $127k which is fully loaded, even with ceramic brakes. Most of the ones by me are around $115, more than $30k less than an EQS AMG. Plus lots of reviewers are saying the EQE AMG is the one to get anyway.
I have an order in for an EQE 500 at $97k which is quicker than the EQS 450 and close to $20k cheaper optioned similarly.
Since we have no pricing in the US for the EQE SUV, this thread seems premature. But I expect a US spec EQE SUV will cost thousands less than a similarly equipped EQS SUV. Otherwise MB won't be able to sell them.
