how do you get Spotify or Apple Music to work in the car without using android auto or apple carplay? I thought that was an option?

Use your phones hotspot and connect your EQS. Or pay for the MBZ internet connection.

It's been a few months since I did it, but I think if you see greyed out options, you're close. If your not connected, it would say something about no internet or choose your internet source. So, select your choice of music provider from the online music screen and you should be given a QR code to connect your MBUX to your account.

Issues with this!
Hello!
I recently purchased my Mercedes Benz A Class and a similar situation has happened to mine. I bought a package from the Mercedes me store and it just says “activation in progress” but has been saying this for almost a month now. I took it to the Mercedes garage and they apparently updated some of the system but said if it still doesn’t work then they will try to update the entire system and see if that solves the problem but if you guys have any ideas on how to fix it would be so helpful!
