Although I see it but clicking on it to purchase just takes me to digital extras home page and there is no video streaming service to purchase.

did anyone succeed in purchasing in US?

I got a notification about new services being available. I went and looked and saw the Video Streaming but mine doesn't say purchase, just that it's not enabled.

You just have to enable it by logging into your Mercedes me account online and activating it. Mine didn't say purchase either but I was able to activate it.

Ok.. we have the same car. My is pinnacle trim and I don’t know if my car is missing any H/W option that your car may have.

what happens when you enable the streaming option?

I have the highest trim with all options except for rear seat entertainment option. I just activated it today so don't if it did anything. Haven't tested it out yet since the car is at another house.

I was under the impression my car was speced to the fullest too. Until now MB is so poor in S/W management.

but when you enable what do you get? Just the YouTube app or something more?

Through the browser we've been able to watch most streaming services, including YouTube TV, Disney Plus Hulu etc..

It would be interesting to learn which version of MBUX you have. E329...? E330...? E445...? Other???

I've also been able to watch anything via the browser. I think that was on E329 and now whatever MBUX 2.4 is.

I am on E330 and am unable to log in to YouTube or Google with the MBUX browser. I get a "browser not secure" error.
I can, indeed, watch videos from YouTube that do not require a log in to see. Haven't tried NetFlix yet - will have to do that.

Minor glitch. Simply switch to mobile version during log in, then switch back after getting past log in screen.

This is what MB replied:

Video streaming service is unavailable for your vehicle currently. The reason why you are unable to get video streaming is that the SA CODE: 49U is not present in your EQS. Only vehicles with the SA CODE 49U can purchase this service within the online store currently. We anticipate the option will be made available for you in November of this year.

Thank you for this! Sounds promising. I am embarrassed I must ask: How do I switch to ”mobile version”? I don’t know what this is. Is it a MBUX browser setting? For context, I have internet-in-the car service, so MBUX is not tethered to my phone.

Once you open the browser and navigate to tv.YouTube.com, click the 3 dots on the upper right hand side of the screen. You will see an option at the bottom that says " Request Mobile Website". Click on that, THEN sign in. Once logged in it will ask you to use mobile device or mobile app for best experience. Simply go back to the same 3 dots and it will now say at the bottom " Request desktop website".

You should now see your typical YouTube TV dashboard.

If you happen to get logged out, just repeat the same steps. Hope that helps!

Interesting. I checked and I have 49U MBUX Entertainment Plus on my EQE SUV built in May 2023. I’m not really sure all this implies or what I can do with it. I have not received or seen anything suggesting ” activate video streaming” yet.
