How do you reset your fingerprint?

Over the past week, my fingerprint is not giving me access to the system and I have to enter my pin.

I looked through the settings menu and I see nowhere where I can reset my fingerprint. Did Mercedes actually forget to give us a way to reset the fingerprint? If anybody knows how to do it, please post the instructions.

Thanks

The user manual described
"Deleting Biometric Data
> Tap on (Garbage can icon), for example, behind Fingerprint recognition"

Haven't tried it though. You can also add additional fingers to the fingerprint recognition.

I do not see a trashcan icon or anything related to fingerprint recognition in the software.

Click on your Profile.
Go to "Protect Content"
On the right screen, scroll up.
Under "User Recognition Method", your "FingerPrint" should be listed (and Voice if you have set it up), and there is a trash icon at the end of each item.

Thanks, that worked. A bit conveluted and required several attempts to remove and then reactive my fingerprint, but it's working great again.

I'm still confused why it started giving me so many failed scans while logging in. Pretty sure my fingerprint hasn't changed.

I have stopped using fingerpint or PIN, got tired of the extra step when getting in the car.
There is nothing to "protect" anyways

I do not use it to protect but to select which setting should be used, particularly seat position, as two of us share the car.

You are also change profile.
You can also link your two keys to different profiles, so it would automatically change to that profile and that seat settings depending on which key is used.
