Mercedes-Benz App - NACS Toggle Feb. 4

I specifically ask if I need to bring our 2023 EQS 580 SUV in for a software update and he said they didn't yet know which vehicles will get OTA updates and which will need to be updated by the dealership.
We should all know how this will work tomorrow or soon thereafter.
1. The adaptors are available now as special order parts from the parts department of dealerships.
2. The service advisors in the dealerships have limited information about the rollout, and referred me to the Sales department as the Sales staff have more and more current information about the rollout.
3. The rollout of support is ongoing and they hope to be done by the end of February. (They accidentally transferred me to the national customer support instead of sales, which was able to fill in some additional details.)
4. When they are ready for your vehicle, an email will be sent and a notification posted in the vehicle head unit. That notification should indicate what steps need to be take to gain access to the Tesla network for that vehicle.
Hope this helps.

Let hope Mercedes don't drop the ball on this rollout.

I just got this popup on my phone, called Parts Dept to order it. Here I got this advice from Part Dept: I have to set up an appointment with a service advisor and order the adapter and come in on the day of the appointment to buy the adapter and Technician will set it up with my EQS. That was an instruction from Parts. Anyway, I will stop by the dealer on Monday and make an appointment. Sound more complicate than just show up at Parts, buy an adapter, and start charging at Tesla Stations. Can't wait til Monday.

They lowered the price to $184.99 (save a penny and get your adapter in a few days)
Here is a copy of my order:

The Tesla app is very easy to use but I'll need to find out why Plug-and-Charge through the Mercedes-Benz app did not work.

That said, I have no issue using the Tesla app to charge moving forward. It's easy to use and will likely provide more details during charging as well as a handy charging summary report of all previous charging:

As a tip, try to use the left-most charger (facing the chargers) so you don't take up two spaces. I was fortunate to grad the left-most Supercharger last night while testing Plug-and-Charge so I only took up one space. There were five Tesla owners charging at the same time so I was relieved I didn't take up two spots.
A2Z EV has a 16' extension cable that solves this issue at Superchargers or any DC Fast charger. I saw a video that said they will also be offering a 5' version that should cost less and work for most MB EV owners at Supercharger locations. I'll wait for the 5' version as I would rather not carry around a 16' extension cable (heavy). But a 16' extension cable could be just the ticket for someone hauling a trailer or camper and cannot back into a charger without unhitching the trailer.

They are developing a NACS DC Extension Cord for use at a Tesla Supercharger but it is not yet available for sale:

An extension cable may be necessary for those planning to use Superchargers on a regular basis. And I have no doubt A2Z EV will thoroughly test it to ensure it doesn’t overheat before they sell it. The video I posted above from State of Charge testing it showed no issues with overheating.
Time will tell, but I think this will be a popular item for people who own Mercedes and some other brands that don’t have the charging port located at the drivers-side rear where Tesla models have them.
