Another Lucid review. What I like about it is that it that it brings back a world class American car like the Lincolns of yesteryear.

After seeing all the posts dissing the EQS’design/appearance, I’m very surprised the Lucid has not produced the same outcry.
The EQS is far better looking to my eye.

My take on the Lucid Air is that it looks like an extremely well engineered EV and may well be the best luxury EV on the market. But here are some things to consider, if you buy a Lucid Air and have a fender bender, how long will you have to wait for parts or service? If you buy a Mercedes EQS you likely have a shop in your town who will service or repair it if needed. You may never need service or repairs as a Lucid owner but I would rather deal with an established company that has dealerships everywhere. That's worth something to me. That said, I wouldn't fault anyone for wanting a Lucid product. After all, Mercedes had to start a new at some point, every company does.

We live in a small town, the two closest M B dealers are 1 1/2 hours away - heading there for service today.
Accessibility to experienced trained service people is critical.

I don't doubt this reviewer believes what he is saying about the Lucid Air and that he truly feels it is a better EV than a Tesla Model S or Mercedes EQS but I could not find a review of the EQS that he or anyone else from Cars.com posted. He made several negative statements about the EQS without yet posting his review of it. Shows some bias IMO.

We cannot trust the reviews of Lucid until the European press reviews it. I have found Autogefuels review of Tesla cars to be very accurate and fair.

Once again, subjectivity rears its head.
We don’t care for black in our garage.
My first Benz, a ‘71 300 SEL, was two-toned - black over cream. Loved that car, drove it 105,000 miles.

Darker colors definitely suit it best, although I spotted a silver one at one of my local dealers in the window when driving past and was intrigued by that color. I wonder if white would work better with the Night Package that the US doesn't get. Nautical Blue is also another great choice after seeing @stealth.pilot 's photos in the test drive thread.
