2022 EQS Sedan Order Guide
#26
Hey, did your dealer mention if the MBUX Interior Assistant is part of any of the Trim options (Advanced or Executive) or just another separate option ? You would think that since it has been such a huge advertisement talking point that it would come standard. Also do you know if you have to get the Executive Trim or the Executive Rear Seat Package to get the rear MBUX screens. I would like the rear screens, but don't care about rear seat heating/cooling or massage. I'm assuming that your dealer understood and was able to discuss all the options with you before you placed your order, is that an incorrect assumption? I know from personal experience that sometime forum members are better educated about new vehicle options than the dealerships.
I did not ask about rear screens or executive seat package since I don't want either. I did spec heated rear seats. I don't see any mention of rear seat entertainment in the ordering guide. I hope it is not standard.

I asked this question somewhere on these threads but I haven't seen an answer. Is this level 2 semi autonomous on the EQS improved over that from the 2020 S-Class?

Hey,
just noticed that there are still no prices in the MB build configurator for the 2021 S class. Does this mean that we will not see any prices on the EQS in the configurator until next year?

When you do special orders early, pricing usually isn't there in the system. You just have to ask the dealer to print out your build sheet to see when prices are made available for certain options.
You do go in blind, but if the pricing ends up being a shock, you can always back out (if you don't have a non-refundable deposit).

Depends how special. If you mean just selecting from the menu that would be on the configuration - you can view the dealer order guide (DOG). The one for the EQS doesn't have any pricing yet, but once MB USA finalizes prices, it will be updated with pricing.
For the W223 S-Class there is partial pricing in this DOG
https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...er-guides.html
Now if by special order you mean a Designo Manufaktur order because you want custom paint or custom leather, then you would need to get individualized pricing via your dealership.

Today's version uploaded.
Changes I noticed:
Changes I noticed:
- New hero image on the first page showing black interior.
- New option: D10 - Rear Lip Spoiler (EQS is already equipped with a rear lip spoiler as standard equipment, D10 spoiler sits on top of factory spoiler and is larger/more pronounced.)
- Headliner code for 229 - AMG Line Neva Grey / Sable Brown upholstery corrected from 55U Grey to 59U Grey. Looks like this was just a typo correction and not anything new.

Mercedes appears to be offering a SAE Conditional Level 3 option on the EQS. Seems like it might be a bit of a risk buying it since its not approved anywhere in the US or even Europe.

Is it standard or optional? I haven't thought about this, but if I was buying a Tesla I would not buy their "Full Self Driving" option because I don't trust it. As far as I view it these systems are all deadly and at best you can use it in traffic as an enhanced cruise control feature - but you usually get that as the basic autopilot option or DrivePilot in Mercedes terminology.

It is called an "option". Here is the source that was in an article discussing EQS.
Mercedes is also offering the option of DRIVE PILOT, which is an SAE Level 3 conditional automated driving system feature. This would allow hands-free driving. Regulations in Europe prevent that level of automation to be deployed in production vehicles on public roads. However, Källenius told media in Germany on Thursday that the company is on “on the verge of trying to certify the first volume production car Level 3 system in Germany in the second half of this year,” Automotive News Europe reported.

Totally agree. That's the best color scheme on the W223. On this one I don't think I would have done the Emerald, but would have had the saddle. The W223 has better paint and interior options. They should have nixed the macchiato and added Saddle and Carmine Red interior options.

Look at how much better the 580 looks without the black trim around the windows IMHO, (SCROLL TO THE TOP OF PAGE). Maybe it is black trim only on the White paints.
Also with this latest update are they saying the configuration shown in this image is now only available in an AMG Exterior DG1. Meaning the lower front grill would be that all black and no more chrome gills?

@stealth.pilot I noticed you have an EQS 580 and a Tesla Model Y on order. Why both?
