Been looking around for videos and pics to try and make up my mind about the exterior color i want for the Eqs 580.
im definitely going with white interior on the inside (much more appealing then black) and I’m debating between white and Matt grey for the exterior.

What colors are you getting/like the most?
Does anyone have videos about the eqs in Matt grey? I’ve seen Pictures posted here but not a video..

I started with Diamond White Metallic with Beige interior until I saw the ROCARS video in the EQS video section . Now I'm Obsidian Black and Black interior.

Still deciding. Either Diamond White Metallic with Macchiato Beige or the Obsidian Black with Macchiato Beige. My S 63 AMG was Obsidian Black. When first got it I had the car detailed (a little paint correction and CQuartz Finest Reserve coating) and when the sun hit it, WOW. I almost didn't want to drive it, just park it and look at it . https://www.americanshinedetailing.c...es-benz-album/ its the last photo on the page (they have it listed as a 2015 but it was a 2016). So I'm leaning toward the black, but I do like how the white looks with the black parts (grill and mirrors).

I went with Manufaktur Selenite Grey magno with Macchiato Beige Nappa leather. Spoke with sales manager today. Their first EQS580 is scheduled to be built mid September. Blue exterior. He's hoping they get at least 2 580's a month. So am I.

White. Didn't care for black as all the body features like the grill become lost.

True, but that was part of my reasoning to go with black, lol. I don't like the odd intersecting lines on the sides of the bonnet just above the tire, to me they just don't work, the Black takes away all the contrast from the panels and they become less noticeable.

Oh damn, that is nice looking Bnzvett! Is that the same Quartz that the MB dealership always try to sell you in the contract? I never have gotten it but I always had trouble with swirls in black paint after I brought my car in to be detailed.

The matte gray looks great on the EQC. I hope that translates to the EQS. The challenge with the EQS is the shape lacks definition, and the value of matte is that it emphasizes the lines. This is why the EQS looks great in black or white. That said, I'd like to avoid black or white.

I'm not sure about the what the dealer offers, but I don't think its the same. My coating was applied by the American Shine guys. The CQuartz also came with a sign to hang on your rearview mirror that explains that the car has a coating and please do not wash (directed at your service folks). It also says that if they wash it they may be liable for any damage and will have to pay for having the coating reapplied. My dealer would always asked if I wanted them to wash it when I took it in for service so I never really needed the sign, but I would hang it on the mirror anyway, just in case (I know some dealers may wash it after a service without asking). I even had one service consultant advise me not to let them wash. He said that if they washed it, I could potentially get scratches and swirl marks in the paint. Not sure why they would wash your car knowing that it would scratch the paint, but I guess some folks don't care or the scratches they cause may not be obvious on a different color car. So when I needed a wash I would either do it myself (two bucket wash, top to bottom) or take it back to American Shine.

Make sure you read the other forum posts about Magno matte paint before you choose that. It’s really nice to have for the first year or so, then it turns into a visual nightmare. I’ve been there. Perhaps a matte all over film would make it tenable.

As an owner of this color, I would say that is complete nonsense. The opposite is true.

i picked Designo Grey (Matt Grey) for my build as I liked the futuristic look and color contrast. I haven’t seen any EQS in the flesh so this is a blind date but my son saw several EQS and confirmed that the Matt color is well suited to the shape.

After seeing many different EQS his view was that Grey, Silver, White and Black were most attractive due to the contrast effect.

I love the 21” RWY and the 20” Star Patterns wheels. I ordered my EQS with the RWY for the summer and will plan to use the 20” star patterns for the winter if I can locate them on the planet.

Thanks for your perspective. I ordered the RWY wheels as well. I dont need winters since it rarely snows here.

I ordered the 21” RWY summer wheels. The car will be used in Florida so no need for winter tires as well. I thought these wheels would be easier to clean than the RWX wheels.
