Even VIP status won't secure msrp necessarily. Perhaps reduced ADM at best in most markets. If it's an inventory car forget it, pay to play.
Ive never paid more than MSRP for any car. Thats the stupidest idea I have ever heard. I personally doubt the stories of adjustments on the EQS since Mercedes would not allow it on a vehicle they are desperate to get on the road. I wouldn't be surprised they are in fact subsidizing the price, note that its less pricey than the S class!

Market adjustments are 100% a thing with the EQS. I'm a sales associate with Mercedes-Benz and at least once a day get calls from out-of-state customers looking for MSRP priced cars, including the EQS. Mercedes-Benz has zero say, or concern for that matter, where dealerships price cars once they are on lots.

So, you don’t accept validity of any of the very numerous reports posted from all over the country on ADMs?

I saw a dealer added markup sticker on a G car two days ago in Cincinnati. G cars seem to be in short supply; MB and dealers both want to sell them.

Curious only, what are you getting for ADM on EQS?

I bought my 450 from this dealer with zero ADM. My order was the first one they took back when the order process opened, my car the first they received and delivered.

The salesman assured me in writing it would be at MSRP and it was. I have bought two new S class from them, plus two used cars.

How they’re selling now, I don’t know, but I was told last Monday they had no open 580
allocations.

I did see a dealer-applied ADM sticker on a showroom floor G car.

At the moment, it’s a whole new world.

The laws of supply and demand are always in effect.

I got 20+% off MSRP on my 2012 S class - the dealer got a late season delivery of 4, and wanted to get rid of them quickly. They did.
And mine had a special AGM paint job.

We have no markups on them but I know various other dealers do, including our nearest competing dealership.

Like most dealerships, we do have markups on GLE, GLS, G, and AMG cars as well as a few other low allocation models.

I spoke with the dealer I have purchased 4 cars from. They are not charging ADM for existing customers, but are marking up the 580 by $10K. I drove the 580 and the 450 and decided to stick with my S Class Cabriolet.

10K is not going to deter anyone. Good move on the S Cab! I wouldn't give that up for an appliance either.

he is not lying. He had reservations for both and opted for the Lucid after the insane ADM that was thrown in last minute. He speaks more about it in the Lucid forums.

He posted to Twitter the VIN, Invoice, and Sticker along with salesman messages. It was MB of Ontario.

Yes, but he made it seem like him bought a Lucid for a similar price.

he did.
he bought a Dream Edition Lucid Air. They are $170k retail. There is a huge difference between a product costing 170k and one costing 120k with 50k markup. If nothing else, resale.

This could be the death knell for the dealer sales model. I'm in the Rettinger camp. I will buy a Lucid before I pay an ADM.

For everyone one of us here on the forum who follow prices and values, there are 10 lawyers, doctors, people with a lot of money that do not care, they just want to walk in the dealer and leave with a new car. People are paying the dealer markup, that is why they keep going higher.
