2022 EQS 450+
Just picked up a new EQS 450+ w/ hypers

Pictures coming soon!

Got a very well loaded 450+ with the hyper screen here in the Bay Area. Sticker was $117, paid a $10K ADM on top of that. However, the manager, who said that he can’t reduce the ADM because corporate has said they can’t, gave me about $9K over market on my Tesla 100D to make up for it, so really only paid a $1K ADM. They also threw in some other goodies like a F1 jacket

Prospective buyers please ask any questions you want!

For what it’s worth, right before I drove down on NYE to buy it, my local dealer called me and said they had three 450’s on the lot and they wouldn’t charge me an ADM if I came in that day. However, they didn’t have the hyperscreen. I had to check it out, so quickly went in and drove it, and passed because the hyper screen adds SO much to the experience of the car I didnt want the car without it.

I will be writing up a new post with my detailed impressions soon, however if anyone has any questions please feel free to shoot them over!

I'll be replacing a 2018 Tesla Model X 100D with the EQS 580 as well. What's your thoughts on the switch?

Congrats on the car, but they still got over on you with that upcharge. I dunno what corporate won't let them means, it isn't MBUSA that's forcing an upcharge that's for sure. Dealers are just liars.

2022 EQS 450+
@Germancar1, I think 'corporate' in this sense was Autonation, the company that owned the dealership I went to. 100% agreed I paid a surcharge; the question was whether that $10K surcharge was worth me getting the car now vs. 1 year from now; I looked, there just aren't any 450+ cars with the hyper screen readily available for anything less. I shared the story above because I found it interesting that they were, in part at least, willing to lower the price in other ways for example raising the price of what they paid on trade-in. Others interested in buying this car that have a car they are willing to trade in may find similar luck. My car was in ok condition.

I believe you made the right decision sticking with the Hyper-screen. Sounds like the dealer squared up with you, which is smart on their part as well.

Thanks for the clarification. My interpretation was that you meant Mercedes as well which didn't sound correct that they were imposing the ADM. Thanks for sharing how the dealer was able to get around that policy.
