My EQS580 was finally released from the VPC after 43days, but the storm that impacted the MidWest last week kept it in Baltimore in custody of the trucking company. With some luck it should arrive later this week and I'll share impressions on a fully spec'ed EQS.

Please refresh my memory, Avilent. When was your order placed? By the way, you're not kidding when you say fully loaded. That's fantastic. I have all the options you have with the exception of the AMG interior.

Order socialized with dealer 1st week of January 2021 (13mo ago), deposit made April 2021 at the EQS reveal and allocation secured late August 2021.

It appears to still be in the build description but I will advise when I get the vehicle if it was actually included.
My EQS, ordered January 16, 2021, built October 26 2021 is finally on a boat headed to Brunswick VPC. Hoping no VPC delays and maybe delivery by the end of the month. 4 months from production to delivery. Just amazing.
12 days after “Released to Carrier status” by VPC my EQS finally left the VPC! 43 days of VPC handling + 12 days of waiting for a truck = 55 very long days. Can’t wait to finally drive my EQS!

Unfortunately my dealership doesn't process vehicles on Saturdays, they only accept orders and payments on Saturdays! Since I "only" paid MSRP they are in no rush to schedule the prep (despite having being paid in full for the car since December 18 2021. They complained to me that we had to redo the transaction paperwork since MBUSA had cancelled the original wholesale transaction $%#%$#, They even wouldn't bring the car inside the service department or charge it over the weekend - so it will sleep outdoor at 20F until next weekI (I guess they reserve indoor treatment for customers who pay ADM.
Ola - I hope you are listening! I love your cars, I think you are a great leader and have a fantastic team, bought two of your cars in '21 plan to buy another in '22 *but* your US dealers are a mess and will drag you in the mud while Tesla and Lucid offer a far more pleasant buying experience.
At least now you are very close to bringing this beauty home. I'm dying to find out if you got all the options you ordered. Is the exterior color selenite gray (or whatever they call the gray color) or is it cirrus silver? In any case, it looks awesome.

I just looked at the build again and found out that the Air Balance package is standard at least on the pinnacle trim. The Air Fragrance package is also standard. So, I don't know why your build has them as options and charging you.
I'm really getting antsy now to get behind the wheel of the EQS 580 I ordered. It is built but waiting to get on a vessel. I sure hope I don't go through the months of waiting like you had to endure, avilent.

I don’t think you will. Both myself and wings1969 EQS580s are on a boat after being built in 2021. However, if Russia invades Ukraine you will probably have to wait awhile…. can’t escape politics - it is reality.

When exactly was your EQS580 built in 2021? How long after being built was your EQS580 on a boat? Mine was built about February 1, 2022.

It was built the second week of December and was waiting at port for a month, got sent back to the factory “factory delay status” and got assigned a boat last week and is on the boat this week. Conservatively from looking at all the timelines posted on the forum build to delivery date is probably 3-4 months. I am hopeful it will get better for everyone, those with orders and no allocation, those with builds waiting to be delivered. The recent VPC delay/factory delay status that was recently encountered seems to have been cleared up. I hope you get your vehicle soon! In the meantime I’ll need to stop checking this forum, makes the wait worse. Haha!
The eagle has landed. Maybe, ship with my car is moored at VPC Baltimore. I was expecting Brunswick GA. Hopefully, no delays and delivery within weeks.
My EQS was delivered earlier today. The vehicle is now being outfitted with all around PPF, tint and ceramic coating, will see it back on Friday! Love the Designo Grey color on the EQS! Many thanks to all who were involved in the design, production, shipping of my new EV that will replace my Tesla Model S 100D.
That's so awesome! The car looks very beautiful with the designo gray color. When you have a chance, please let me know if all the options, and, or, standard features are there. I'm very confused about the Air Balance package with fragrance atomizer. When I put in my VIN it directs me to the dealer and shows the specs on my car. The Air Balance feature with the the fragrance is not shown as a standard feature and in fact, it doesn't show it at all. But when I build the car with my specs it shows the Air Balance/fragrance as a standard feature.
Avilent, congratulations on finally getting your beautiful MB. I am very jealous but hopeful my EQS won't stall at the VPC for two months. Be happy. don't worry. Surprised about you adding ceramic coating. I thought that was only for shiny cars.

I have ordered the Magno grey matte finish as well. Curious? What exactly are you wrapping with film? And I take it you are ceramic coating the matte finish. I have ceramic coated my regular paint but never a matte finish. Does it change the appearance with ceramic coat on it?
