2022 EQS 580 4matic, 2022 GLS 450
My 580 seems too quiet!

The sound experience option in the EQS is kind of silly but it is something fun to play with.
However, when I activate the sound experience in my 580 I only hear a sound when I touch the screen to select a sound mode.
After that I hear nothing while driving; no sound on accelerating or braking.
Is there a way to increase the interior sound?
Also, my window sticker says that I have a pedestrian warning sound while driving but I hear nothing when I have someone drive my car past me.
It's hard to get the neighborhood joggers to move out of the way!
Again, is this something that has to be turned on or turned up in volume?
There is very little information on this in the manual.
Really nice car though.

The pedestrian warning sound is activated when the car is in motion but not driving too fast. Cannot remember the switch off speed.

Cannot see how you would hear the sound better when another car drives past with all the noise it makes. The warning sound is not supposed to be like the horn, just enough for passengers to notice the car.

EDIT: reading the W223 manual I got the impression that the warning sound is on even when the car is stationary (switched on, ready to drive) but turns gradually off already from 20 km/h onwards.

Now that you asked, I did roll down the window coming down in the garage ramp at work. I could not hear a thing other than tire noise. The Taycan had an annoying buzzing sound under same conditions, you could not miss it. If there is any sound in my EQS, that must be fairly subtle.

If you want to hear the sound experiences more loudly, switch to sport. It's still understated but definitely audible. On my test, I actually liked the sound since it gives you feedback of whats going on. Personally Ill probably keep the car is sport always since the ride comfort is extraordinary. My individual settings will be motor in comfort and everything else sport.

Are we discussing on different things? I thought the topic was this:
https://group.mercedes-benz.com/maga...r-warning.html

At some point there was a shortage of that buzzer but I doubt any EQS would be built without it.

This 580 just arrived in port a month ago. Perhaps the supply shortages skewered with this feature.
And it just got weirder. Yesterday I had 3 modes on my sound experience: WAVES FLUX and ROARING. Today I only have WAVES and FLUX.
Does MB do daily updates of the software?

I noticed something similar with the dashcam.
On the day I got the car, the dashcam got a menu / message confirmation that the auto-start was enabled.
One day later, this option disappeared and the dashcam is not auto-starting anymore.
Should contact the dealer for this, but it might be location based (that some features are enabled/disabled based on your country / location)?

I have been experiencing similar problems with the Apps where certain apps/features are available one day and not the next. I check the services enablement in the app and separately on the Me website and all appears “on” and ok but alas still the issues. The software management back eppears to be a work in progress. Based on what I have read the automakers have as much difficulty getting programmers as they do getting microchips.
