For only 30 min there after you pay. Unless you unplug for 60 min then connect again.

Once again, you shouldn't charge it more than 80% when on the road trip. That's the recommendation.

If you take the word "shouldnt" out of your statement it will sound more correct. There is no "shouldn't"
It is just not recommended on a regular basis. If you need to charge to 100% to make it to your destination then do so, if you want to charge to 100% for peace of mind then do so, if you want to charge for 45mins because it is free then do so.
The car will not explode or melt because you charged the car to 100% 10x in a row.

Who said anything about 100% on this tread. Once again do research, the EQS will not let charge more then 80% on fast charge. Please provide literature.

I don't have a problem with what you say. I didn't mean to imply that you should never charge it to 100%. For example, if I were to take a long trip, I would certainly charge it to 100% overnight in my garage. Just don't make it a common practice to always charge it to 100%.

I agree with you. Charging at 100% will shorten the life of the battery, not charging at 100% once in a while will also shorten the battery life. But charging at 100% all the time will deftly change the integrity of the batteries.

I am not sure what you are saying here. It sounds as if you are saying that the EQS will not let the car charge above 80% on a fast charger?
If so then you are mistaken. You can charge your car to whatever percentage you want, whenever, wherever, and however you want.

sorry but thats completely inaccurate. You can charge it to any level you want. However Charging more than 80 % is usually at 50kw and the higher you go the slower it will get. To fully charge on a DC fast charger takes just over an hour. Which is actually not bad given the size of the battery. EA chargers tie out after an hour so you have to replug to complete fill. By that time its around 95% full.

Yep. I charge to 100% before trips, but usually charge to just 80% after because that last 20% takes more time than it is worth. Besides, at my age, if I start with 100%, and get a fast charge somewhere down the road, the car's mileage capability has now far outpaced my ability to keep going that long!

Sorry about the confusion, I’m agreeing with another member that at one point you will have to charge at 100% but only if variables apply. Level 3 chargers above 22 kwts is not recommended to charge above 80%. The EQS app has settings for public/home/work where you can set 80% charge only. There so many variables in the forum that is hard to address on a single issue. But is up to the EQS owner how they choose to read the manual and interpret it. This why I’m here, trying a clear guidance. But it looks that member's majority is 80% no matter the variables.
