It is just not recommended on a regular basis. If you need to charge to 100% to make it to your destination then do so, if you want to charge to 100% for peace of mind then do so, if you want to charge for 45mins because it is free then do so.
The car will not explode or melt because you charged the car to 100% 10x in a row.

Who said anything about 100% on this tread. Once again do research, the EQS will not let charge more then 80% on fast charge. Please provide literature.

If you take the word "shouldnt" out of your statement it will sound more correct. There is no "shouldn't"

I agree with you. Charging at 100% will shorten the life of the battery, not charging at 100% once in a while will also shorten the battery life. But charging at 100% all the time will deftly change the integrity of the batteries.

If so then you are mistaken. You can charge your car to whatever percentage you want, whenever, wherever, and however you want.

Yep. I charge to 100% before trips, but usually charge to just 80% after because that last 20% takes more time than it is worth. Besides, at my age, if I start with 100%, and get a fast charge somewhere down the road, the car's mileage capability has now far outpaced my ability to keep going that long!

Sorry about the confusion, I’m agreeing with another member that at one point you will have to charge at 100% but only if variables apply. Level 3 chargers above 22 kwts is not recommended to charge above 80%. The EQS app has settings for public/home/work where you can set 80% charge only. There so many variables in the forum that is hard to address on a single issue. But is up to the EQS owner how they choose to read the manual and interpret it. This why I’m here, trying a clear guidance. But it looks that member's majority is 80% no matter the variables.
