Sound experience Roaring Pulse

Hi All,

I am the proud owner of an EQS 580. Before that I had an EQC, but you can in no way compare it with this top car.

However, there is something that has been bothering me for months and where I am not getting a solid answer from the dealer and Mercedes itself.

My EQS should have 3 sounds: 'Silver Waves', 'Vivid Flux' and 'Roaring Pulse', but the last one is missing.

The dealer also checked other EQS cars and this extra sound experience is missing everywhere.

Just to be sure, my car has the individualization option active, but my Mercedes Store app states that the Sound Experience option cannot be activated due to the lack of hardware. A bit further on it says that I must have the Burnmeister surround (810) in order to enjoy 'Roaring Pulse' and I absolutely have it in my car.

I'll take my chance here, maybe someone knows 'the' solution.

Regards Peter

Roaring pulse was on the 580 menu for a brief while a few months ago and then just vanished. It was not a very interesting sound anyway. Try enjoying the luxurious silence with sound experience off! Otherwise you just as soon have an ICE.

2023 AMG EQS
It was taken away from the regular EQS’s and is only in the AMG EQS 53.
When it was first removed from the 450 and 580 they stated that we will get it later via OTA update. But at this point I severely doubt that.

I am going to post this on a new thread shortly but will also add here. When I picked up my EQS 580 about 10 days ago (after a 7-month wait), it was delivered without 3 of the items on this list -- Air Balance fragrance function, 110V home cable, and Auto Comfort Doors. I arrived for delivery without any prior notice from the dealer that these 3 items were excluded from my build. The dealer would not sell the car without 1) me paying the $7K+ MSRP increase after my order was submitted, and 2) me paying the full price for the car with zero credit for the missing equipment. Truly, "take it or leave it". In my case, I was essentially forced to "take it" so I did. HOWEVER -- if all of the other items that are now showing up as build exception had been missing from my car had been missing (rear axle steering, ventilated seats, AMG exterior package in particular), I would have HAD to walk away even without having a plan B. Thoughts?

Are there any video's online where I can hear the sound of 'Roaring Pulse'? I must admit that as a self-employed person in Belgium you are more and more forced to drive electric. Zero euro tax for electric cars and thousands of euro tax per year if you want to drive around with a petrol AMG. If the difference hadn't been so big, I probably would have bought myself an E 53 coupe.
So I do like solid sound when I use the horsepower.

Very annoying situation that you and the dealer can do little about. I was recently told by my dealer that 60% of all delivered Mercedes cars deviate from their order. The dealer himself will only be able to see which parts may be missing upon delivery.
A completely different situation from mine, but similar in some aspects. I ordered my EQS and after 6 months I got the message that I would have to wait another 6 months. Fortunately there was an alternative, the dealer wanted to sell me his showroom model that was equal to my ordered EQS except for the color ( Nautical Blue instead of Selenite Grey Magno ) and no nappa leather.
He also gave me an extra discount of 7000 euros on top of the price reduction of the color and leather.

I'm a little bit confused. I thought they never accepted any order with automatic comfort doors this calendar year, so how could you have been charged for this equipment and not received it? The same is true for air balance and 110v cable. Usually it isn't on the window sticker so you aren't charged for it. Do you have a copy of your window sticker showing these charges?

Why would anyone want to add a sound to this luxurious, incredibly quiet vehicle, other than the roaring Burmester blowing your mind as you drive in remarkable silence and comfort? I don't get it.....But that's just me....

Peter,

I have the three sound experiences in my car (EQS350, MY2023, Belgium).
However I don't use them, I prefer a quit car during the ride

I don't know how it's related, but the Roaring Pulse option didn't show up for me until my dealer activated my Mercedes Me account. Activating the account also added a bunch of apps to the MBUX, including games.

Do you have a fully functional Mercedes Me account?

As far as how it sounds, it's like a deeper, throatier version of the other one with the simulated combustion engine sound (Silver Waves I think?).

Yep everyone with a 2022 has an account, if not, you couldn't do the fast charging, trip planning and so on. Im sure they have that pat down; for us early adopters, that was a little complicated.
