The MSRP was 136k, aftermarkets were $5.8k, cash was $10k and monthly payments are 2.08k with 36month and 10k/year. I do not know if this was good or not. On paper it looked like a $14.3 discount.

Just got an email from consumer reports about which cars now qualify for the $7500 tax credit. The IRS listed cars which may still qualify for the credit after the recent legislation. It lists the 2023 Mercedes EQS. I can’t imagine how they still list it. It’s not made in North America and it costs too much.

Comsumer reports is not up to date. Don't take everything they say.

2019 SL550/2023 EQS 580 SUV
I would not want to go into negotiations with the IRS using a “article” or “email” as proof of any deduction. All this talk means nothing unless you consult your tax accountant when you file later on this year. If they are wrong they are responsible as per any agreement you sign with them. So much mental masturbation over this subject.

I have a 2023 580 en route crossing the Atlantic as we speak, but from what I’ve read no way it now qualifies for the tax credit. Just was very surprised it was on the list of IRS approved cars. Obviously a mistake.

I think EQS SUV will be eligible according to my dealer as it will have final assembly done in USA.

Ah ha. That’s probably what they were talking about. The article just said 2023 Mercedes EQS. I just assumed they meant all models. That makes more sense it being the SUV.

The EQS SUV will be priced over $100K. So it won't be qualified.

IRS probably meant to say the 2023 EQE SUV, not the EQS.

The “built in North America” took effect on the day the bill was signed. The cost of the vehicle doesn’t take effect until the new year.
So the EQS SUV does qualify for the tax credit until 2023.

2022 EQS580
Well I finally got news about the tax credit for my one payment lease for my EQS580. The General manager was on vacation and I was waiting for him to find out the scoop.
I was so excited during the delivery date May 6, that I really wasn’t paying attention to the documents I signed. As it turns out, the $7,500 credit WAS passed on to me. Also I paid the old price. Therefore, I saved a total of about $14,500.
