How to stop Apple Car Play when you open the door?
In every previous car that I've driven with Apple Car Play, it has stopped (paused) the currently-playing audio after I've stopped the car and opened the driver's door. In the EQS, however, it doesn't do this. Instead, the audio keeps playing after I've opened the door, left the car, and then closed the door. It doesn't stop playing until I lock the car.
Does anyone know how I can get Apple Car Play to stop playing audio when I open the car door - as it does with just about every other car?

I have no experience with this, but am just curious. Are you saying that if you stop your ICE vehicle open the door with the engine running and phone in the car, CarPlay stops? That is one smart phone that knows you opened the door.

With the EQS, there's no 'engine' running, so there's no need to press the "Off" button. If I stop the car and engage "Park", CarPlay keeps playing audio even after I've opened the door. It's not until I lock the car that it stops.
I'm simply asking if there's a way to configure CarPlay (or the EQS) so that it stops playing audio when I open the door.

I think the answer would be "no". Because just like an ICE vehicle you have to turn off the car. I haven't tried it but from reading on this forum there seems to be a timer that turns off the car after a period of time (10 minutes?) if EQS is left on, in park. I rented a Tesla Y this past weekend and it seems to turn off when I exit the car with the "key" but that is not the case with MB. So, I sorry, it appears you must push the start/stop button or remove the phone from the car.

I suggest rather than pushing the button to put it in park you simply push the off button which automatically puts it in park. I can’t envision why you wouldn’t use the off button.
