Time for a Positive Word

As related here and there, I have not, as a 90 1/2 year-old, who has been ailing over the past four months, put many miles on my Red 450+, picked up late last December.

I am very happy to report that on this beautiful Sunday I drove my wife and my walker to church, then lunch, then home.

Not only were there no EQS problems, in my 11 months of ownership, there have never been any problems. I will say that, because I’m basically a tightwad, and because I don’t care for fancy sophisticated systems, I didn’t buy any, nor do I hardly use any standard ones. It helps avoid making life teejus! 👍 😃

I love 😍💕 my beautiful car!

How easy it is to slide my walker into the huge trunk!

Wishing you the best possible Holiday Season from lucky ole me ‼️

Congratulations on having a great time at 90+ and embracing new technology. The EQS is a great vehicle, I have a 580 SUV, and though I have only had it for a month and 950 miles I also have had no problems at all. I hope you have many, many more fun miles with your EQS!😊

I've made excuses to drive somewhere just because I enjoy driving this car so much.

I have nothing but praise for the car. It is exceptional. Of course, not perfect, in some instances form has hampered function as with rear headroom and visibility. However I dont think any other vehicle has ever provided the blend of power, comfort, quietness, handling and tech this car provides while being a top shelf EV in all categories. LOVE IT!

My wife and Ii back from a round trip 170 mile road ride for errands and a nice lunch…

She has driven the 450 several times, and has always been very complimentary of it. Today, she just couldn’t make strong enough remarks about how much she likes driving it.

Never the first comment about the feel of the brakes or anything else such.

She goes on many more such trips than I do. I told her, “Take it whenever you want to.” She grinned from ear to ear.

Wonderful!

Although not my quickest car, the 450+ is definitely my favorite car of all time. I love driving it, and I love the savings it affords (except, of course, for the purchase price) in energy and the environment. What a neat vehicle. I think the one word I would use to describe my state while driving it is serenity. Hope others are enjoying theirs as well.

Today I drove my 450 on a 150 mile round trip to my dealer, to handle the tow bar recall and get it checked out generally.

It's the first time I've used Navigation on an Interstate connecting with another Interstate. I know the route well, but wanted to see how the Nav handled it. I was very pleased to see the info that came up on my screen, (Not Hyperscreen)) in the way of informing me of upcoming turns, showed camera images of overpasses, intersections, etc. Very pleased!!.
Also got some good experience with cruise control and distancing. All around, a very good and valuable experience.

On the flip side, I had made this appointment last Saturday for this morning, for a service check and the two recall. Only after sitting for 45 minutes was I told the part was not in stock and would be ordered. No checkup had been done on tire pressures, washer fluid, etc., as I had requested when I booked the appointment. The service manager did finally tell me that when they got the part in, they would drive a loaner to me (Bet it's not an EQ!) and take my car back for the tow part installation. Was also told they had to inspect the car before they could order the part. Told me only 71 cars were involved in this recall, and only mine was one they had sold.

C'est la vie.

Agree. I had this inspection done and all was fine. So they have to inspect it to see if the part is needed, apparently. Not sure why they can't just have some parts in stock? But, then, "mine is not to reason why...."

I think this explains why the parts are not in dealer stocks.
