Traffic light view and traffic light information service not working?
I've had my EQS 580 for a few days now and neither the traffic light view nor the traffic light information service seem to be working for me. I realize these are 2 totally separate features but I figure I'd lump them together here. I live in the U.S.
I have the traffic light view set to automatic in the settings. And yes, I know that it's only supposed to work when you're the first car at the light. Has never worked for me. Strangely, the AR navigation has always worked perfectly for me and shows all the virtual arrows and everything superimposed on the camera view at the appropriate times.
The traffic light information service is supposed to count down the time until the next green light. I have a light near my house that I know is compatible because it had worked in my Audi during my free trial period. But I've never seen my EQS count down for any traffic light.
I have my Mercedes Me account fully activated, though I haven't signed up for the in-car data through T-mobile. I wonder if that is the issue, since the manual states that you need to have an activated SIM card. Though the car seems to have no trouble accessing other data (such as traffic and weather) through the Mercedes Me connection.
Anyone have one or both of these features functional? If so, are you subscribed to the in-car data connection?
These 2 features are described in the owner's manual on pages 256-269.

I have them enabled too but they don't seem to be working. Were you subscribed to to in-car data subscription when they were working?

They did not address the traffic light view, however. I did see it randomly work one time at a traffic light, so I don't know what the deal is. I'll have to call them back and see if they can give me any more details on these 2 issues.

My EQS is on order, but can anyone tell me if the EQS will give me a notification when the light turns green? KInda like that Tesla feature (the Tesla gives a chime).

Will not chime. It's just a countdown timer. The intersection must have that feature for the EQS to tap into. I've had the timer pop up maybe 5 times. It's a nice surprise, and hasn't always been accurate.

Thanks!
