Cannot say any of the EQ styles excite me but the drive is so good that falls by the wayside. I moved from an e class estate to an EQC did not want an SUV and felt I was dropping a class in some details like not being able to spec out the piano black or on the center console or spec airmatic but within a couple of weeks I had forgotten all my misgivings and just love the car considering it to be the most comfortable Mercedes I have ever owned. Not a looker but it is the driving I value. For others it may be the look is the most important but Mercedes are making dammed good electric cars and electric cars make the ICE equivalent seem quite agricultural in comparison to me. Am now looking at getting back into the e level with an EQE SUV but would stick with the EQC size but seems that will be sometime away and the EQE is very close in size it seems. My big gripe is it is only made in the USA I would prefer a German made car.

Your photo of the square behind the car - that looks familiar!
Is it in London? Thanks.

Many thanks to everyone who freely gave their wisdom. Newbyloub, Hyperion667, your patience and welcoming perspective is much appreciated.
Hlothery, Holladay, i can see where you're coming from . All opinions are entirely personal, and perhaps I am like a museum goer who just didnt get Kandinsky or Rothko at first. Parkwood , and indeed everyone : I 100% agree mercedes EQs are (from within) great - and the EQS is a technological marvel. Quite possibly i would have learned to love it, given time. Just didnt want to feel like i compromised.
I'm just holding out for the day MB makes an electric car as beautiful as the C217.
If in a few years it becomes apparent that MB's design language has changed forever, maybe I will roll with the punches and go for the then -AMG EQS equivalent. There are worse fates !

Sticking to London squares, back when we stayed at Brown’s (before Mr Forte’s sister performed her ghastly do-over), I would often walk the streets of Mayfair and St James, nearly always in the area including Berkeley Square, St James’, occasionally Grosvenor - your photo just had that look…
