After Software upgrade to E329...
As of the end of 2022, the current EQS Software has an ID of xxxE329 xxx.... You will find your current SW install in Systems > Info.
There are a great many differences in the home screen. I've only seen it once since my 12/29 upgrade that I had to convince my dealer existed. In my case, even though the download connection broke down four times, it took considerably less than the predicted or stated three hours.
Frankly, I don't have a clue as to how quickly I can can adjust to the new screen, or what unknown marvels or terrors lie under it.
I do expect it to be the source or cause of numerous reports or requests for help here, (and I'm assuming some will come from me)enough to justify this separate thread.
One thing that did occur for the first time was a "12 volt battery low" message. I immediate phoned dealer service, and was asked if it had come up in the car or in an app. It came up in my phone as I was checking my max recharge level in preparation for my upcoming absence. When I replied it had come up on the phone, not on the car screen, I said, "phone," and was immediately advised it was no concern unless it came up on the car's screen, Take it for what it's worth,
This covers all that I can tell now, and since I will be away from m car for the next ten days, I cannot be a source for answers until at least mid-January. I hope to see info arising here during this interim.
Good luck to all upgradees and to new owners. Please share your discoveries,

I would charge the 12 V battery with a maintenance charger, it is the car anyway that sends the low battery warning to Mercedes Me (perhaps a different threshold). I often charge the 12 V battery even if no warnings appear as the car often sits in the garage for long periods.

Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz currently offers OTA updates every three months or so. However, those updates pertain entirely to navigation and infotainment features. According to Daimler, the luxury automaker has delivered over 12 million OTA updates to infotainment since 2013.Through a partnership with Nvidia however, MB is developing an entirely new software architecture. This new architecture is expected to roll out in Mercedes-Benz’s 2024 models and expand globally from there.

Not all MB OTA updates are for infotainment, there have been many telematics updates too. So far lacking big infotainment updates (like MBUX) not to mention control units like the engine control unit or similar.
But I think this thread was supposed to talk about E329 changes...

I've seen no new goodies; no visuals, no menu changes, no additions.

I had to re-pair my iPhone after the upgrade, but I'm not saying the upgrade caused this. A number of screen changes - in Nav, the radio station keeps showing up, although I never turn on the radio.
I have only used Nav once or twice, adjusted systems a couple of times. The changes haven't bothered me yet, but I don't use any systems except rarely Cruise Control. That worked fine on my 70 mile rive home after the upgrade.
PS There was no charge for the upgrade.

After turning on the car, I received a notice that 'Plug & Charge" are now ready to use. It further states it can be used on all Plug & Charge compatible stations in addition to the EA charges. This notice was also sent to my Mercedesme Connect app.
