Sorry about that, it's why I suggested googling. The story's gone now.from Google news, 'For You.'
The reason? She decided Musk was a jerk.
Thanks for the tip for control c and v. Never knew that.

I agree. I left the company for similar reasons, but not because of Musk's politics. My biggest problem with the company, right now, is they care only about the cars sold per quarter and not initial quality nor long-term customer satisfaction. I, too, considered a Lucid, but I worry about their longevity. I think Polestar (Volvo), Ford and Mercedes are gong to start to squeeze Tesla. I think it's why Tesla is starting to price their cars lower, recognizing their brand no longer dictates such markups.

I am have been in the market for a Model 3 for my wife. I was thinking about getting a 22 with the LFP battery because of the efficiency and battery chemistry. I was looking for how to get the upgraded stereo with the RWD model and come across this.

What blows me away about Tesla posters on the first issue is how nonchalant a lot of them are about it. I can imagine what the reaction would be on this board if that happened to a Mercedes.

I would not spend a cent on anything Elon Musk is ivolved with. Exactly the same reason I would not even consider a Lucid. A companiy owned lock stock and barrel by Muhammed Bin Salman. And tge same reason I never use Uber....

I agree.
I have never followed Lucid, so am completely ignorant of all aspects of it.
I have, without prior knowledge, used Uber a couple of times, but have no appreciation for it, despite good friends saying they use it and my BIL's BIL having been a Uber driver in Kansas. Too many crimes too many times by too many drivers. Very scary.

If that's your position, so be it.
But you don't mention the many illegal cabs and airport rides occurring in many major cities, both here and abroad.

Local roads in my city are not financed by the Federal Government. When the city puts in a new street, those real estate parcels on that street are assessed for the construction funds or the bond payments. If the state pays for a street or road it is designated as such. The street next me is designated with a letter and number indicating that the state paid for it and owns it. The city can't control it such as set a speed limit or maintain it. There are some joint state/local roads just as there are federal/state roads. AFAIK there are no federal/local streets. Medicare is a huge socialist program forced through Congress by the far left Kennedy/Johnson political machine in the 1960's. It is a device to shift wealth to the lower class as virtually all socialist programs are designed to do. With very few exceptions (mental & physical handicaps) being ignorant or poor is self inflicted and blame is heaped on the "system".

Interesting thread. It started off as an ode to the weirdo that is Musk and devolved into a one upping free for all! My kind of thread
No but really. I had an appointment once to drive a Tessy......I canceled it and bought an S class.....granted that was years ago but my reasoning was
the same: Musk is a total ******. Glad to see others think so too

Nothing against the OP, but this thread is WAY off-topic to the whole purpose of the forum. Is there a way to request a thread be closed? Or can we be adults, recognize we have varying political beliefs but a love for a certain car, and move on?

I started this topic because I thought it was an interesting thing to read about a lady buying a MB EV.
It's gone way off course, and I'd like it to end.
My apologies .

I test drove a Tesla and hated the plain looking interior and the way it drove. I test drove the EQS and loved the inside of the car. The way it drove was better than the Tesla or should I say it was different. I dont care much about who owns what these days.
