2019 SL550/2023 EQS 580 SUV
To clarify, The huge amount of problems are with Lucid, not Mercedes. My 580 SUV has been a pleasure to own and drive.

Now, that makes more sense. I thought it was a Mercedes.

I had a tow a few months ago for my broken I Pace...tow truck driver told me anecdotal stories about EV problems, including a Rivian that was home delivered, and literally never worked--towed away months later. And, he had lots of stories about Teslas and their problems with broken control arms. Our cars won't be perfect, but I think Mercedes' deep engineering bench and manufacturing experience will help.

I read posts on Tesla sites where bolts were literally coming out of front control arms of some Model 3s. I can't imagine that happening on a Mercedes.

Exactly. I highly doubt MB engineering would let this happen.

Check out the photos of Tesla control arms breaking...quite scary, actually...

edit...link not showing up...you can Google "Tesla Whompy Wheels" and you'll see what I mean.

That is true, Tesla is a relatively "young" company but these shouldn't have past QA despite the "lack of" experience on building vehicles. I understand defects happens but this is really unacceptable in my opinion.

Jeez. Didn't know about that one.

So I was in the market for an EV for my wife. Drove a 2020 Model 3 with lets say 35k miles. Rode like crap and clunking in the front suspension. Glad we didn't buy one.

Thanks for your reply I thought it was about something in the article which I don't have access to. Dealerships are known to low ball I wonder if there are different quotes with Caravana, VRoom and CarMax.

I found the post, looks like I missed it https://mbworld.org/forums/eqs/86102...ml#post8741631, initially I thought you meant 60K miles on a one year old EQS as it was driven that much (not sure what I was thinking )

So thinking about it, some of the depreciation may be associated with folks experiencing cold weather range reduction and finding that it doesn't fit their expectation or use case.

The deals happening on eqs are insane.

400 to 600 a month. No down. Msrp are being discounted almost 20%.

See leasehackr.com and check out the posted deals it's wild.

I am interested in an AMG EQE 53. What deal can be given if any?

EQS
There is a 7500 lease discount and a conquest offer. MBUSA may have additional offers/and list suggested dealer contribution. I’d bet they AMG EQE will not have big discounts because there aren’t a lot of them. For the EQS, the dealers have both 22s and 23s and need to move them.

EQE will be the real driver of sales for the EQ sub-brand.

Except that any E class sedan is too small for me to get into and drive.

Of the four new models, I believe EQE SUV will be the volume leader.

If I were back in the market, and I’m certainly not, I would not consider any SUV - we have two here now - nor anything other than an EQS 450.

EQS
The IRS announced updated guidelines for the EV tax credit. Reports indicate that the leasing loophole for foreign manufactured vehicles has remained.

Just curious why you would not consider any SUV. Over-priced? Poor aerodynamics?? The fact that you already have two (If I understood your comment correctly). Other reasons???
Thanks!

Since the person you quoted didn't reply yet, I am just going to throw in my guess : maybe to add variety?
