Wish list for OTAs
2, woukd really love to get Pet mode for interior HVAC and have the current cabin temperature display in the app along with an alert if it goes above a user-set threshold. At current we have to lock the doors, immediately disable interior monitoring on the vehicle alarm in the app, and then vigilantly monitor the app to make sure the HVAC doesn’t shut down while we are eating lunch or dinner.
3. Wonder if MB will ever offer an upgrade of the charging speed on existing cars? I am not sure if it is a hardware limitation or software-limited. Assuming the former. Would be awesome to use the full 350kw at the EA sites instead of 200kw peak.
4. Would love to not get the “Don’t forget your key” warning every time I am getting INTO the car. That is just a plain miss.
5. Even with the latest OTA the quality of MBUX nav guidance is often deplorable. This is not funny anymore. My wife and I were recently driving through downtown Atlanta and the nav dumped us off the freeway into a rough part of town for no reason. Frustratingly I hit a huge pothole during our diversion but thankfully did not do any apparent damage to the wheel or tire.
The navigation, make sure you have the latest maps and choose the "Fastest Route" that is the way to go, shortest route for some reason glitches according to some experiences from some forum members.

NAV maps vary on location, In my area its very good. In other areas not so much. Even google maps has the same issue.
MBUx will precondition the battery every time you select the charger with the nav. In fact, I wish you could also precondition without it since in my area many of the chargers are non networked.

BTW, the difference between the EQE and EQS is simple too, charging time between the EQE and EQS is the same. I don't think MB wanted to have a cheaper car have better charging performance beating its top model. There is a 30k price differential after all. Its also the same reason the EQS AMGs are not yet built the embarrass the ICE ones in a straight line (which they most definitely could!)

The new EVs built on MMA platform will arrive within a year, and they will have a 800V architecture.
This won't happen for EQS/EQE until they move to the MB.EA platform, likely when the next gen arrives.
Well, the next gen GLC on 800V MMA platform will have better charging performance than all the EQs vehicles released so far.

Do note that for 10 to 80% or 20 to 80%, Ioniq 5 charges faster than EQS.
While EQS performs quite well considering its voltage architecture, I believe it will do even better when 800V is implemented.
You know and Mercedes knows that 800V will be the standard.
