All we will need to use Tesla Chargers is an adapter.

ford and gm EV..... rarely to see them on the street (ford mustang the most). if said kia and Hyundai join TPC then maybe this will change the game. but ford and gm...... not really.
one day there will be a standard plug and before that, who join who is not important.

Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer are two of the most popular EVs on the market. Think Chevy Bolt is the cheapest one too. Daimler better get with the program or they'll be left behind.

Are they going to install two inlets on each vehicle so a car could use either a Tesla supercharger or an Electrify America charger?

Kia and Hyundai have a big headache - NACS does not support V2G (vehicle to grid).
So are they going to just delete that function they were so proud of? Or keep the CCS for that function?
Ford has the same headache with their Lightning truck too.

Not uncommon.
All foreign EVs in China like all the EQ models, Mach-E, iX, e-Tron.... have dual charging ports for the Chinese market (CCS + GB/T).

CHAdeMO is being phased out in North America so EA and EVgo could just start replacing those connectors with NACS, problem solved. I really just want the Supercharger adapter though to be honest. The Magic Dock rollout is going way too slow.

EU uses CCS. Made Tesla adapt to them, from what I have heard. I don't mind buying an adapter, or paying for electricity. What I hate is that Tesla is receiving government subsidies to build charging stations CCS cannot use, despite promises to the contrary from their fearless leader. 40 (yes 40) brand new superchargers at the Bucees in Temple, Texas, built with government subsidies....I cannot use any of them. My tax dollars built them! I don't like wrongs........I tend to hold a grudge.

Tesla chose to install a "Magic Dock" on a few chargers. Which just seems like a way to pay lip service to the the notion that they are working on allowing CCS cars to use their network.
But this is just a BS ploy. Because all it did was show how easy it is for them to allow ANY CCS car to use their network.
If a Tesla owner wants to use a CCS charger they can buy an adaptor... So for a CCS car to use Tesla's network all they should need is an adaptor and the Tesla App.
Why limit the ability to access the network by having us wait for them to install a STUPID "Magic Dock?" Just sell the adaptor So that CCS owners who want to access Teslas Supercharging network can.

he knows once he opens super charging station for CCS, Tesla won't sell that well. the only thing can make people buying Tesla one of the reason is their charging network. if all EV can use their charging network. their sale will drop at least 30% easy.

Elon probably doubles his money on every kilowatt he sells from his Supercharger vending machines. Making a profit selling EVs is a lot harder. He's had to cut prices despite crazy high inflation just to stay competitive.

yes but also the factories cannot stop production. he spend billion to build a factories and also funding from local, state and fed. selling kilowatt is for long term but selling cars is for now.
when he makes more $$ from selling electric than EV, he probably will sell Tesla car division. only keep spaceX and Tesla charging network

I guess that's why he's cutting prices. He's got economies of scale so he's undercutting the competition. The smaller startups can't make an EV cheaper until they ramp up and the old behemoths like Government Motors (aka GM) and Ford are top heavy corporations full of overpaid executives (diseconomies of scale). He's in the sweet spot (not too big, not too small).

Weed smoking Elon will outsmart all the booze brains yet again.

I also don’t understand why a adapter to fit the Tesla Super Chargers are not sold to individuals instead of retrofitting so many chargers around the country which will take years. Something is amiss here….

Exactly! This is so easily solved, and most of us would gladly pay for the electricity. I do think he is worried about sales if he opens his superchargers. I drive by the megafactory in Austin (on the 80mph bypass around) frequently. He is still working on completing that huge complex. Too many irons in the fire, IMHO. Cash flow problems vs just plain obstenance.

I would probably understand why they dont want to sell an adapter. I have few 360v electrical forklifts. to charge it, very similar to our EV. a hand size big huge male and female plug-in together. one morning after charge we found two plugs melt and not able to separated. technician said the wires inside the plug got loose due to either age or improper remove (pulling wire to separate two connector instead pulling the plug). luckily it didn't catch fire

so I think the liability to sell an adapter might be the reason they dont want to sell it. since there will be tenth of thousand of EVs uses it everyday. the chance few went wrong is possible. as this is one of VERY WEAK POINT that causes fire or damage to the car or charging station.

but they can release the design to have 3rd party to make an adapter to avoid their liability.

I don't care what type of plug I use, and there are always adapters available.....I just want all the chargers open to me. I'll pay my way, no problem with that. Just give me access.

Looks like Rivian has also adopted the NACS charger and Stellantis may be next...
