Hello all... I have 17K miles on my 2022 EQS 450+ and the A2 service sign came on (in 12 days). I looked up what isand saw that other than inspection and maybe air filter there is not much they do. So my question is should I just skip it? I went in Jan. for a MBUX update and they updated some other modules (battery etc.) as well. Thought they give me an Uber ride home, it is just a pain /inconvenience as they are always backed up and it always takes more than a day. Also, is this service complimentary?
EDIT: Just spoke with service manager. The service is just a checkup and would be done in under 2 hours. They can provide me a Uber but loaner cars are not provided for A2 service at MB Cherry Hill, NJ. I have taken everyone’s advice and booked an appointment to get it done. Thanks all.

 

I haven't been an Mercedes Benz owner long enough to experience the service process.
However, I have read on numerous occasions where ignoring MB factory-recommended service intervals can void certain aspects of the car's warranty. I would certainly not want to take that risk, given the cost of fixing anything on these cars!

 

Definitely necessary since service intervals are so long. At least if there is a glaring problem brewing they will find it. In addition, any new software updates will be installed.
All my initial first model issues were cured by a dealer installed sofware revamp in that fist service visit. The car has been utterly perfect since. I have one of the fisrt 580 sold in the country (aside from the initial demo cars). Best car I've ever had AND the most reliable MB yet. Can't wait for the Tesla chargers to be available with an adapter. It would go a looong way to addressing the charger availabilty issue here in the upper midwest (which has been improving slowly).

 

call and book for the loaner. they should able to schedule you one.

 

Yep, they change the Hepa filter, and fill the fluids....but they check a whole bunch of stuff. It is complimentary. Your dealer should definitely provide a loaner, and I did have to keep mine overnight to get it all completed.

 

I got the 20K complimentary service last August for my EQS SUV and it did not include the HEPA filter. I was told that the HEPA filter should be changed at 50K miles. I posted details of what the service included here.... https://mbworld.org/forums/eqs-suv/8...-included.html

The 20K mile service was FREE. I was also presented with an invoice to sign for submission to MB, presumably to reimburse the dealer. This invoice included the parts and labor costs which I shared with the forum to let EQS owners know the estimated cost of subsequent 20K mile maintenance services.

 

ahhh i saw the invoice bill in your other tread. I also bought another two years of prepaid maintenance thinking I'm being scammed if I have to pay out of pocket for it.

 

I just had mine done today. They also updated the software with the latest version and changed the wipers and battery in the key fob.
