The EQS: Design for All the Senses
I recently discovered this website, and I must say it's quite fascinating and insightful. Its unique perspective is definitely worth exploring.

I've worked in the architecture/design business for 10+ years. Most of the literature is marketing speak, but the EQS does have some technical first times. Here's my short list of what got me into an EQS:
1. Forward looking design for a luxury sedan (tired of the 3 compartment body; it is so yesterday).
2. High HP and torque
3. Electric motors instead of ICE
4. Quiet
5. Doesn't heat up my garage in the summer time
6. Lots of screen particularly one of the best HUD in the industry
7. No transmission to shift
8. Not too roomy not to small
9. I'm not the spoil type when it comes to massage, scent, and sound. I could care less for the fake driving sound.
10. Able to go from luxury to sport and back without having to get into another vehicle.
11. Did I mentioned Torque? Acceleration from 50 mph to 70+ mph is like someone rear ending you first and pushing you faster and faster. A car that can snap even the driver's head on the headrest is silently quick!
12. Everything else about the EQS is just value added.
I said no to the S-class because the interior screens look so un-luxury designed; There's no design elements with 2 tablets in your car. That's goes the same for the i7 and BMW current design philosophy of interior displays
Drive me around in an s-class. I'll drive myself in an EQS.

The metric that really matters on the road is miles (gained) per hour of charging. I wish they'd focus more on improving charging speed and less on the (ugly) aerodynamics. And quite frankly everything else on that short list above except maybe zero-layer isn't much of a selling point for me either: energizing nature would shoot horrible scents up my schnoz at random and even dangerous moments; the HEPA filter is under a hood I'm not allowed to open and costs stoopid money to replace at the dealer; I didn;t get a hyperscreen with my Pinnacle trim 500 EQE but it's a EQS document so gotta let that one go I guess; one-bow design is aka "the melted jellybean";I got one over-the-air-update then it told me to make an appointment for an update and when I pressed dial nobody answered and it never asked me to try again; sound experience is mediocre at best; zero-layer is good anyways but I hear they're switching to MBOS so doesnt look like MBUX will be getting much attention (or fixes)... anywhosies.

I have a 23' with Pinnacle and other options, and has all that mentioned features plus some. However, a few things mentioned I don't seems to have but really didn't care, or even explored to try it anyways. Was there something that stood out for you that is not on your vehicle?

Not really. I checked out the Energizing Comfort option. I have it so there’s nothing else that catches my eye.
The energizing comfort is really nice feature to have especially during allergy season and biohazard terror attacks. By default, the ionization is not ON. I'm not sure how accurate the ppm indicators are, but it helps to know that you are breathing good quality air while inside the car with exception of fragrance which I don't turn on. There are many more features that most cars on the market will never have even in 10 years times, but that's what luxury means . . . to have something that you don't necessary need all the time.
This gold 2024 AMG EQS did tempt me though. MSRP is only $171,100.

Saw this in person yesterday. It is dazzling. Absolutely gorgeous.....and I would love to experience the 700+ horses. But, I still love my 450+, which is charging to 80% at an estimated 375 miles, now that warm weather has finally arrived in Texas. I must be getting old.......
Hlothery, I'm not sure if the color will age with you well. It is unique but not flashy which I think is a nice subtle expression of the car's styling.
