Anyone else has heard - "it looks like the ordering a 2025 has been cut off" - from their dealer?

Really? Can't buy an EQS 2025 ? Amazing.

Every few people what one, so MB discontinued the production and decide that the next S-class variant is EV. Similar to BMW 7.

Well, Mercedes has not announced their exact way they will be dealing with the current US economic climate and or tariffs. They have announced that they will be reducing production by at least 100,000 vehicles per factory in Europe. They stated that the tariffs not only affect their import of vehicles to the US, which is their greatest market, but also the building of US manufactured cars that rely on parts from countries that now will also experience greater tariffs. If Mercedes were to try and absorb the 25% tariff, it would cut into 30% of their recent margin at least so it has also been speculated that they will shift production to the highest margin vehicles so that they can absorb some of the tariffs as a company. This will be worse than Covid for the brand.

So it’s not shocking that the eqs was put on the chopping block due to being a complete failure for the company and the customers.

Wait and see what else happens, cause it won’t be good for the normal car person. Get your order in now for anything you might like because it’s unlikely to be there in the near future for any reasonable cost. Similar to how market adjustments took people out of the market, and/or put them upside down in their loans, this will be the same exact thing because when the tariffs disappear (cause they will as politics change) there’s gonna be a lot of people that paid 25% more than market value (you won’t get that tariff back in resale)….. but we know the manufacturers will not lower the price in the future so just consider this a 25% bump in cost for cars we don’t like or want getting us closer to those high Third World prices that we see “lesser” countries paying.

I'm going on record saying the tariffs will be in force for less than 24 hours before somehow claiming victory and abandoning, if at all. We shall see.

Perhaps the tariff selling price impact and the lack of availability will reverse some of the dramatic depreciation current EQ owners are experiencing...
