I hope everyone had a good weekend. I purchased on air filter for my wife's 2023 EQS 450+ sedan. I got the hood opened, and to my surprise, there is no place to put the huge filter as seen in all the YouTube videos (see attached picture). What am I missing or not understanding here?

Looks like you didn't option the HEPA filter forgot what option code it was or what package it came with.
The EQS's have an optional HEPA filter. Those that have the option are the ones with the huge filters you saw online. If your car doesn't have the HEPA filter, it's hidden somewhere else. Don't know on the sedan, but on the SUV it's hidden under the cowl on the passenger-side. I posted a guide here.
