thanks denice!

c.z.55 i really didnt have many questions but thanks. Istanbul is a really nice city. it has a perfect blend of modern and historic buildings or locations. for a city of 20 million it is very clean, safe, and just beautiful. with all the tulips here i'm gonna have to plant some in my front garden back home

i went to the club 360 last night, which was cool, but techno is not really my thing. do you know any hip/hop, r&b and pop night spots? i'm stay at the marma which seems to be in a good location, at least for tourists.

Istanbul is a very nice city if you are a tourist. Ask me about the traffic Turkish night clubs only have Turkish music or house/tech house kind of music. There is night club called The Sapphire and they have hip hop nights on thursdays but the last time I went there I was 16 so i don't really remember. The Marmara is a very nice hotel. It is at the center of the city. If the outside seating is open yet I would suggest Zuma restaurant in next to Radisson Hotel, Gaja restaurant in Swiss Hotel and if you want to try tratiditional Turkish food you should definitely go to Haci Abdullah in Taksim, it is 10 minutes walk distance from your hotel. Cab drivers will always try to rip you off be careful. And the back streets of Taksim are dangerous.

thanks for the info. its funny you mentioned Haci Abdullah. my wife and I went there the 1st nite on recommendations from the Hotel and we walk past it by like a half mile. when We were seated and the bread was brought to our table I asked for butter. i asked 2 more times after about 15 minutes and 2 waiters and I was told "maybe later" I laughed and repeated yea maybe later and walked out. I went to the resturant right next door and had the best Turkish meal I've had since.

but otherwise it has been a very nice trip. I was told about a club called Babylon but i don't want to waste my time going there only to be disappointed. so maybe I'll keep my old *** in tonight

later

You should keep your ridiculous comments to yourself. This is not the topic for you to impose your political ideas.

The truth is we moved to Anatolia 1000 years ago and it is the land of Turkish people. You have to learn to live with this truth.

i'm not sure what thats supposed to mean, but maybe you have never left your backyard so i'll chalk it up to ignorance!
so i guess Muslims who were born and raised in Europe are not European either

Istanbul is very european with a mixture of cultures. i'm from NYC and i'm not muslim . but you would never know it was a predominately Muslim city except for the mosques. otherwise it was very beautiful and clean, cleaner than Rome! the people their look very European and its a big European vacation spot also.

now as for the rest of Turkey which is on the Asian continent, i did not have the pleasure of touring so i can not speak to it. maybe next time!

What history is that? bending over sheep?
Only reason Istanbul is anything is because it was once a great city when it was Constantinople but was over run by turk invaders destroying its european heritage and turning it into a muslim shrine. is that the great history you speak of?

Ain't armenian btw.

at this point i would ask the mod's to close this thread. this is not OT and this thread was not started with any intentions of negativity at all. what amazes me is how racist's never miss an opportunity to spew their hatred, even on a car forum. Istanbul and the Turkish people were and are wonderful people and that's that!
