Ordering MY19 vehicles for EDP: Timing

Ordering MY19 vehicles for EDP: Timing
So, I went to two dealers today to order MY19 GLC for EDP in mid to late September. Both didn't have anyone who knew anything about EDP. More on that in another thread When they tried to build it in NetStar, the pricing never updated and stayed at $99,999 regardless of what we chose for options and packages. Guess it's not ready for ordering yet? Anyone know the date when it will be available?

Hmm, I thought the GLC43 as Oct 5 and others were Aug 22. Will report if I see or hear otherwise.

The 2 GLC 300 model variants are showing as August 22.
All other variants are showing October 5th.
Remember that all of these dates are shown as tentative.

when is the next delivery date of s450v4 that can be configured? and the same for a e300v4?
I have ordered cars from local dealer over the years, but none via EDP. The dealer is saying a configured s450v4 would deliver end of Oct, which sounds like a long way off and early Sept for a e300v4 for usa delivery to dealer.

The EDP schedule shows both vehicles tentatively available FROM 9/27. There are no E300 models listed for MY '19. It's shown as an E350-4M. My experience (3 EDP deliveries in the last 6 years) is that a configured car needs to be ordered about 3 months prior to the desired pick-up date. Stock EDP cars are often available on much shorter timing.

The wait depends on the actual car model and what options you are adding to the car. I have a confirmed date on a 2019 S63 Euro Delivery with most available options added to the build with about a 6 mth wait. I am guessing part of the problem has to do with the Head Up Displays and the shortage of certain parts including the HUD—I think due to the Michigan supplier plant fire but not certain.

For what it's worth: A firm order CAN be placed even when pricing is not yet available. For example, I placed on order in April '16 for a July '16 European Delivery on a MY'17 MB. The pricing and invoice didn't arrive until around the 20th of June. I paid the invoice and took delivery on July 1st.
