**New York City Bear Mountain Sunday 5/15 10AM**

Bear Mountain Inn
http://www.bearmountaininn.com/
Meet and Drive to Poughkeepsie.
Sunday, May 15th, 10:00AM
Meet in the Bear Mountain Inn parking lot.

Guys, there is a big BenzWorld meet of about 10 people if everyone shows and those guys usually don't show when they say they are gonna show, so I figured why not invite the MBWorld guys? Bear Mountain Inn is right inside Bear Mountain State Park. After we meet up we will drive through the park and Harriman State Park, cross The Bear Mountain Bridge, then drive up to Poughkeepsie for lunch on the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie.
How cool would it be to have a big group of 20-30 Benzo's driving through the parks along the Hudson? This is a really scenic area guys so bring plenty of memory for your cameras!! You will want to take hundreds of photos.

Here are the photos I took last week!

You should cut them some slack - there really wasn't a contingency set up for rain on the 1st, and notifying people is very tough.

Oh, and 40% chance of rain/thunderstorms for Sunday.

Yes, I'll be there, rain or shine. Though I'd prefer shine.

Sorry, can't make it -- although this pic:

...is five miles from where my Guard unit is based.

Heads-up for any of you coming up the Palisades Parkway and are unfamiliar with it: up north (around exit 18, I think) is an exit for Route 6. BE CAREFUL -- the exit goes off to the left and LOOKS like it's the continuation of the Palisades, but it's not. Stay to the right to stay on the Palisades. Otherwise, you'll wind up in Harriman, and you'll spend all your money at Woodbury Commons instead.

They're always parked at Bear Mountain Inn, I guess they're state park police. When we started the drive there were atleast 3 cops in cars watching us, one of them looked like they were going to follow us but he didn't lol.

Wish I had seen this sooner. I'm very close to Bear Mtn and would love to have joined.

Turned out to be a nice day.
