Invite old MB classics, G's, ML's, SLK's, E, S, CL, AMG and even some UNIMOGs. The more MB's the better. I will try to get some photographers to come out and get coverage on the meet. Once I get a set date, then I can pimp the 3 MB dealerships in San Diego County, as well as some local tuners, and the MB Club of America (San Diego section).
Potential date: July 9th / Saturday
Location: Still to be determined. Somewhere between downtown San Diego & Carlsbad. Requirements: Large empty parking lot, with shade preferably, w/ BBQ pits preferably. Place to hang a banner or two !

I myself live in Mira Mesa. I think some live as far out as Eastlake.

just in the past 2 weeks, I've noticed at least 10 different Mercedes-Benz (all different classes) rolling around the Mira Mesa area. They have only caught my eye because they have been modded in some way or another (tint, wheels, drop, etc...). There are plenty of stock 2002-2005 C230K Sport Sedans and C240's running around too, but here in S.D., they seem to be a dime-a-dozen.
Once we get this date & location thing settled, I want to print up a few flyers, so I can hand them out when I see a nicely modded MB or any AMG for that matter.
so, I need people to start chiming in....
- how does JULY 9th sound ??
- still need ideas for a good location based on requirements above.

I think the farthest north people would want to go is Encinitas and maybe even Carlsbad. I don't mind driving at all. I'm just trying to keep it a little bit centralized, so not to exclude anyone. Judging from past meet experiences in Orange County and LA County, most people don't want to drive more than 20-30 miles.
I don't know anyone who is south of downtown San Diego / Coronado, so that can be our Southern limit and I guess Carlsbad/Oceanside can be our Northern limit.
However, I also gotta keep in mind that there might be people out EAST (San Marcos, Escondido, TierraSanta, El Cajon/La Mesa) that might feel North Coastal County is too far !! I know, can't please everyone, but that's why I'm allowing time for people to post ideas, so everyone can pick the best spot, and not get any b!tch!ng later.

From what I hear the beach near Cardiff by the Sea named Moonlight Beach is a popular spot for car meets.

Moonlight beach is pretty good. There is a lot overlooking the beach with plenty of room. Firepits and benches are down on the beach itself. Its about a mile from the 5. If people are interested I can swing by and take some pics, its real close for me. Btw I have connections to the city council so maybe I can hook us up with some kind of restricted access area or something.

That would solve the crowded beach-goer parking issue.
So, let's make MOONLIGHT Beach our #1 location option.
This is not FINAL yet, as to give others a chance to scout or propose other locations. So keep any suggestions coming, and a plan of action to ensure we get enough group parking.
