I'm down and ready to help as always Carlos.
You know me, I'm always down for a meet so can be involved in helping and making the next one even bigger and a success then I would be more than happy.
I'm liking Lisa's ideas once again. Gosh Lisa, where do you come up with these! Gosh, so many places to eat and to choose from. If italian, we can just go to Buca Di Beppo since they serve Family portions for those of you that have been there, you'll know what I'm talking about.
Lisa, which restaurant are you talking about? I live really close to the Angels Stadium and go to the gym next do it quite often. I could scout it out.

let's make it Saturday August 13th...
is that OK with everyone ? dinner: at a location to be scouted by either Chris or Lisa in the O.C.
Hopefully, by then, MBUSA will have announced the date of the grand opening of the Classic Center.
A lot of the hype and posting, getting people excited, can be started much sooner, and then by August 14th, a final plan can be posted, and the count-down can begin.

if we can keep this small, just the 7 of us, plus one guest each, that would be great.
However, like I said before, anyone who wants to join us, and be part of the planning / executing committee is more than welcome. Just let me know ahead of time. That way we can reserve a table for 14 max, and Lisa can pay with her CC and get her miles, and take us all on an extended beach vacation to Costa Rica !![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Everything sounds good so far! Yes, I'll have to let lisa use up her CC so she can get her miles and then we can go to Costa Rica! ...but then Carlos, you're going to have to let me drive your cars over there. ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
So, anyone have a take on where you guys would like to eat? More importantly...Lisa?

The Italian place is in Dana Point. I thought of that so Carlos wouldn't have to drive so far from San Diego.
The train idea, and eating in Irvine or Anaheim, was if he wanted to jump on the Coaster instead of driving.
Which do you want to do Carlos and where does everybody live so we can centralize this thing, unless everyone just wants to come down and have dinner by the beach. Fred's was fun that time. We could eat there again?

lisa, you are welcome. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
carlos, as lisa wrote: a meet to plan a meet sounds good to me. and i dont mind having classics in the meet. don't ever turn ur back from the past. actually, this is to include my car for future meet. coz my car will be a classic soon! LOL
i live in the san fernando valley. OC will be a good drive for me.
i would also suggest to create a new thread as to not high jack this one further more. hehe

the Dana Point place sounds good to me.
I don't mind driving.... you guys know me, I love to drive my Coupé !
I would think that Sun (BenzoBoi) and AMG_Eric (Eric) are coming from pretty far off too, so if Dana Point is cool with them, that will work.
Otherwise, we can go a little further up north in O.C. to make it work for everyone.
I'm willing to be flexible on this, as long as we can get everyone there.
thanks Lisa.

Carlos, I meant the G-Wagon!
Lisa, I don't mind dining at Fred's again. That place was really good the view was awesome. We could eat outside again but not have to worry about the cold windy weather that we had to put up with last time. Anywhere else is fine with me. Even if we drive anywhere, I could car pool with you. Since you live so close. :p![hammer](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bonk.gif)

I am scanning 20 mile idine restaurants in No. OC or Long Bch right now.
Good idea about starting a new thread but let's get the date and place down first.
Not that I'm sick of HB, I've just had 3 different sets of guests in within the last 4 wknds and I'm expecting another guest coming in soon, so I'm getting a little tired of the place. Once people get here, they love it and don't want to leave and go to another place to eat!
I'll check out Long Beach for those that may need to come down the 22 from inland OC, and those coming from inland LA via the 5 and 605? I'm not sure where everybody is at.
Check back soon or tmw

Keeping in mind centralizing this thing, I'm lost. I hate traffic and concentrated masses, so don't travel to LA or inland very often (inland being north of the 405). Okay, most of the restaurants where I'll get the big miles are few and far between, and out of business - great. SO, I won't go for the big miles which frees up tons of places to eat, including some I have actually been to, so I can judge them by parking availability and good places to eat together and talk. Here are some choices -
Choice 1 - Good because it is right off the 405 (you can see it from the fwy) at Beach Blvd which is kinda North OC, between LA and SD with lots of free open parking, and they are hardly ever busy, and they have lots of areas/tables we could take over, and they are inexpensive for both food and drink.

Thanks, but you will see in posts above that SD was voted out. I am still working on it as all the double rewards (extra miles) restaurants I am finding are changing owners or out of business. I may have to switch around some of the criteria as far as importance.

LA - North Hills - rammbs
OC - Anaheim - ChrisDPham
OC - Huntington Beach - lisamcgu
Riv - Corona - AMG Eric
SD - Hillcrest - CitronC230K 03 (Douglas)
SD - Mira Mesa - Saprissa (Carlos)
Keeping in mind centralizing this thing, I'm lost. I hate traffic and concentrated masses, so don't travel to LA or inland very often (inland being north of the 405). Okay, most of the restaurants where I'll get the big miles are few and far between, and out of business - great. SO, I won't go for the big miles which frees up tons of places to eat, including some I have actually been to, so I can judge them by parking availability and good places to eat together and talk. Here are some choices -
Choice 2 - Good because it is right off the 405 (you can see the center from the fwy) at Sand Canyon, which is kinda in the center of OC, between LA and SD with lots of free open parking at the back of the lot, and they have outdoor dining, and its a new center and place in a very nice upscale area.
Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill
6725 Quail Hill Parkway
Irvine , CA 92603
(949) 856-1300

Choice 3 - Good because it is in Newport Beach, just off the 405 to the 55 south to PCH, and its right there, in OC, between LA and SD with its own small p. lot where you can watch the valet park your car, and they have bayfront dining, and for the guys, this is Rodman's where all his type of women hang out - strippers, hookers and *****, all dressed as such.
Rodman's
2601 W Pacific Coast Hwy
Newport Beach , CA 92663
(949) 642-5935
Where has Dennis Rodman gone since his blue haired days as a Chicago Bull? Well, he has opened a restaurant on the Pacific Coast called Rodman's and he's amiably hosting guests and hard rockers at this pleasant hideaway. Rodman's features sports and music celebrities galore, plus hearty American cuisine and great views of the coast. Relaxed, friendly and fun!
