Here is the route of the FUN RUN. This post has all the satellite photos of the route.

YOU WILL NEED $1.50 OR A FAST TRAK TO GO ON THIS RUN.
I am sorry in advance if $1.50 is too much for you to kick down to the Orange County Toll Roads. However you will have a blast and enjoy some of OC's greatest open roads. Trust me its worth the cost of a 1/2 gallon of gas to make the run. ALSO FILL YOUR TANK AHEAD OF TIME!

There will be 2 groups. The people that are law abiding citizens and everyone else. I will lead the Law abiders.

We in NO WAY encourage speeding or breaking of ANY posted speed limits. I will lead the official drive by the speed limit caravan. If you pass me you are on your own to find your way. I DRIVE A BIG RED COUPE. Its hard to miss.


Photos and videos will be taken of the FUN RUN. We can’t guarantee that you will get your car in the video and photos if you are not following the LAW abiding group. If you choose to violate the speed limits you are on your own. I can't stress this enough. Exhibition of speed is not sanctioned by us. Joining in this FUN RUN doesn't give you permission for speeding or any other violations.

OK now that dad is done with the "if you speed its on you lecture" our plan is to Leave TJ's parking lot and head out for a nice run. We are working on 3 points of picture/video taking. We have 3 distinct spots and we would love for you all to join us and have your car show up in all the pics and video.

We do have a chase car with a video camera attached to the outside of it. The details of what we will shoot will be left to the experts (I of course am not a photo expert).

The FUN RUN should last about 45min to an Hour. We will end at TJ's which is the starting point. So if you don’t want to run your rig just chill at TJ's and we will be back soon or for your geeks brb.

Leave parking lot.
go north on sand canyon (make right)
go to Portola and go west (make left)
go to jamboree and go north (make right)
go to Santiago canyon rd and go east (make right)
merge onto the 241 toll road SOUTH
merge onto the 133 toll road SOUTH to beaches/ i-5
stop at toll booth and throw $1.50 at the collecting person
continue onto the I-5 NORTH
EXIT SAND CANYON loop around and then make a right turn onto sand canyon.
head back to parking lot at TJ'S

My recommendation is that if you want to go on the FUN RUN just post your NUMBER that appears on the * * * HUGE MB/AMG Irvine Meet October 15th!!! * * * * thread so we know how many cars are going with us.

Let the posting begin. BTW i will update this original post for final info if things change. Then i will add a BUMP to make you aware of them.

Just curious how's the cops on those fwys?

 

all i is know is if you are doing the speed limit you dont have to worry.

cops aren't too bad, i have seen 120-130 on those roads. But that was when the roads were pretty empty. I believe they do air patrol, but i have yet to hear anyone get caught by it there. This fun RUN sounds awesome though, i love seeing AMG's on the road, and here's a chance to see a whole bunch.
