Might be interested depending on time and date. I'll mostly be interested in the scenic view and pic taking.

i don't drive the MBs in the canyons fast, to ponderous... i take out the RX-8 for heavy canyon duty. i only drive fast at night, extremely low traffic volume and no cops. i have had 2 tickets over a seven year period in the canyons, both during the daytime and both on the weekend. so, draw your own conclusions from that experience. needless-to-say, i won't be able to tag along for a day run on the weekend, bad karma.

I am still trying to find that Deadman's Road. It is in Los Angeles and I think in the North Western outskirts of it. We can do Decker Canyon for sure... but not at night and no way on this road. No lights and turns are so sharp... Going 45 mph on decker canyon is way to dangerous at night.... I can predicate that one or a few of our members will lose their cars and maybe their lives if we drive at night. You do not want to drive at night on these roads. I live right next to them so I know what I am talking about. the fall is like 200 feet.

I found Deadman's road! It is 66 miles long. I will put it up in the off topic forums so more people see it.

I live in Westlake Village, so I have been in and around canyon roads for years. I drive at night. You can see someone's h/lights from around a blind corner; you cannot see them in the daytime (hence blind corner). Nighttime driving is safer, no doubt about it. For 10/10ths driving, a closed circuit daytime run would be optimum, agreed. We, however, do not have the luxury of closing down public roads. That in mind, nighttime driving is the safest way to go about it, for you and for other motorists. It gives you advanced warning as to the location of other drives and minimizes traffic volume.
