A c class gathering in NYC!? meet maybe in Roosevelt Field Mall, or wherever...anyone down?

yeah i'd be down...but later in the year (say spring) would be a better time.I know,for one, my car would be cleaner and the weather would be a little bit more favorable?

 

I'd be interested over at the mall or some other big parking lot so we can take some pictures.

Come the first nice sunday of spring, go out to Captree, there will be tons of really nice cars, make that your meeting place. There will be thousands of cars, not many MBs though, lets change that!

what and where is captree?

 

I think we should go somewhere with a huge parkinglot, and mabe a nice drive somewhere around, shoot some videos take some pics, it'd be cool

 

Captree is part of the NYS Parks Dept. It is where the party fishing boats leave from but also has a boat ramp and some other stuff to do. There is also an area to go off roading in 4WD trucks. Out of the summer season, Captree became the place for car guys to go on sunday mornings. We keep getting kicked out of all the other places! Damn Fun Police! During summer, lovely NYS makes you pay to enter, so every one meets up at OBI (the parking lot of the former Oak Beach Inn). Its free there and just down the road.

Anyways, the first nice sunday after the winter, every one in the area wants to take out their toys. So that first nice day is huge. A few Ferraris (last year an Enzo showed up) and Lambos, a bunch of Porsches, tons of Vettes and Mustangs. There might be a few of the new Ford GT's (two will be form the Cobra Club I'm in), along with maybe a dozen or so Cobras, maybe even an original GT40. A bunch of old muscle cars and classics and street rods. Just a whole **** load of cars really. Plus its a nice drive (at least from where I am comming from).

There is a building there where you can get some snacks and hot beverages.

Ill try and post as much notice as I can on to when will be a good day to go. But its tough, might not know until that morning. It all depends on the weather. Since there is no set date, people wake up and see the sun shining, and warm weather, they say "Lets go to Captree!" Ive done it several times. But if the weather looks like it will hold up, I can probably give like a 3 or 4 day notice. All you LI car fans, take a ride downthere on nice spring sundays.

However, to be honest, if its that first nice day, I might either be in the Cobra or the Triumph, but if a meet is planned, I'll still stop by and check it out.

(wow... it took me about an hour and a half to type this... distractions galore!!! Damn A.D.D!!!)

Anyone have an experience doing a Comand, Bi-Xenon, or Puddle Light Install?

i know a nice spot in Englewood Cliffs, NJ right next to the GWB that has a pretty good parking lot and BBQ pits, near a little beach.
