The AMGfest is just over two weeks away now (August 26th/27th)! Some have made inquiries as to where folks are staying for the weekend. Many have elected to stay at the most convenient hotel (directly across from the MBUSA Headquaters). It's a nice hotel - The Park Ridge, NJ Marriott - and can be had for a decent rate if you act quickly!
I am booked in for Friday (08/25) and Saturday (08/26) nights and got my room for only $99 each night plus tax. This is cheaper than the AAA rate or any corporate rate we've found.

This rate may be very limited and is not guaranteed until you book directly with Marriott at 1-888-236-2427. The higher AAA rate is $134 per night and it goes up from there.
There is no pre-negotiated rate with Marriott as the $99 rate is much cheaper than trying to block rooms. Again, this rate is very limited, so act fast if you want to save some dough.
***I just got off the phone with the Park Ridge, Marriott (08/10, 8am)***
They only have 9 rooms left at the $99 rate. To get this rate, you have to pre-pay and it is non-refundable. To me, the extra $35/night savings from the AAA rate is drinking money!
Make your reservations for hotel now and don't miss out!
If you have not registered for AMGfest, please send Pete (55fanatic) an e-mail. There is no cost, but our host (MBUSA) needs a good headcount so to adequately prepare for the crowd. There is a lot of behind-the-scenes logistics on their part, so kindly register if you have not done so already.

The day will begin at 9:00am. Lunch is being planned and we'll have an opportunity to spend time getting to know each other and gawking at all the beautiful sheet metal!

since my E is still in the body shop Im rocking the ML which is siting on 17" snow tires and wheels... it also has a big chunk taken out of the bumper... dude you know you wanna come, if someone asks, just tell them your doing a dukes of hazzard mod thats not done yet
