Alright guys Ive finally asked for a meet at my uncles shop (Eurbahn Motors in Fremont). My uncle Tony owns the shop with his other nephew Gevon. Im hoping many you will show up to this.

THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE AN ONLY BMW MEET. ANY EURO CAR IS WELCOME.

IF SOMEONE CAN POST THIS IN ANY OTHER FORUMS THAT WOULD BE A GREAT HELP TO! THNX

Hey J,
I think it's off 680 and Durham Rd., just down the street from Fry's (Fry's is at the corner of Osgood and Durham).

I don't think I'll be able to make this.

If you're coming from SF, go over the bay bridge and:

1. Take the I-880 SOUTH exit toward ALAMEDA/AIRPORT/SAN JOSE - go 29.2 mi
2. Take the STEVENSON BLVD exit - go 0.3 mi
3. Turn on STEVENSON BLVD - go 1.6 mi
4. Turn on FREMONT BLVD - go 0.9 mi
5. Bear on WASHINGTON BLVD - go 0.3 mi
6. Turn on OSGOOD RD - go 0.5 mi
7. Arrive at 42475 OSGOOD RD, FREMONT

I'd like to attend but I see a very immature BMW owner on the guest list and now I have to consider it a bit more. He's really bad.

Really? Who would that be? I've never seen/heard of any problems at BMW meets from anyone on this particular BMW forum list.

Please enlighten us.

Well, I'd rather not point out the screen name to point fingers, but look for a young poser who drives an automobile that is attempting to pose.

Regarding the Calaveras run, I have to warn you, it's a single lane road with dual traffic and lots of cliffs, thus making it somewhat risky at high speeds. I normally go to Saratoga's Big Basin Road which features dual lanes, dual traffic, and lots of cliffs which is marginally safer. Much more interesting turns on Saratoga Big Basin road, lots of hairpins even a corkscrew. If you go to Mapquest and zoom in you'll see some of them in detail.

Big Basin Rd
Saratoga, CA

In addition, there is charming downtown Saratoga to look forward to as well.

Remember, on all of these windy roads, turn on your headlamps even in daylight or else you will be fined by the police.

Heh... you can't make more generalized comments than that! I'm really not sure what your point is in making these comments, because it tells the reader nothing about why you're saying these things I think most of the people who are going are just wanting to check out some nice cars and have a friendly get-together. Just come and hang out so we can check out your ride - I want to see your E320!

I apologize about the obscurity.

We'll see if my schedule permits. I would actually plan to bring the C230, since the E320 has a few scratches, a few chips in the windshield, and curb rash on the wheels.

Pat, Calaveras Rd is awesome... i can clear the whole road in 10 mins...and Big Basin Rd... the first half is insanely tight, i loved it! The 2ndh ave haha my friend and i went there for the first time the other day and we were crusing at an avg speed of tripplie digits...while the other 2 friends who have been driving therefor 5 years said they dont have confidence to go over 80...pat...nvm... ill put on my flame suit-- ur going to go on and on of how blah blah im .... keep in mind these runds are conducted around 2-3 am..we have video footage if you dont believe a word.

Overall, I still prefer my Saratoga Big Basin over Calaveras. While I love my windy mountain roads, I don't have the same amount of guts as you have to drive them at breakneck speeds.

We'll see, perhaps we can do a Calaveras road run. Calaveras is too boring for me, lots of quarter turns, nothing that is extremely tight. That's what I like about Big Basin which has really tight turns with elevation changes right in the same turn; It's like corkscrew at Laguna Seca.

He said, "uh, I don't know what's going on because it's kind of a mess right now." I said, "Why?? What's going on?" He said, "Well, some crazy BMW driver just crashed into some parked cars." SO, I was like, Oh Noooooooo.... I don't want to be around any reckless drivers, so I decided not to go. Can't blame me for not wanting to go after hearing about that, right??!!

Summary of event: 2 accidents (one was "trying to drift" and the other had brake problems and ran into a fence) by non-forum members - just random people driving BMW's that were in the area at the time of the meet. A few cars got hit and I think one person got hit, too, but I haven't heard of any injuries. A lot of bimmers and audi's showed up, but I didn't see any Mercedes in the photos, but photos of the crash scenes are supposed to be coming soon, if anyone is interested.
