I am driving down from Elkhart, IN. That is about 12 hrs. Leave Thursday after work get as far as I can and do the balance Friday. Then do the reverse on Sunday and Monday.

Plans are well in motion and final details should be completed in the next day or two. I met with Beowulf last evening and we toured our selected hotel, the Hilton Atlanta Northeast. They are very gracious and eager to host us. We will have a private parking area for attendees for the entire weekend (Friday-Sunday) as well as an excellent room rate of just $74 per night plus tax. There will be several surprises during the weekend, but here's just a sample of what's to come:

Saturday, November 4th – Photo Shoot, Tech Session, Dyno Runs, Banquet
9:00am: AMG Photo Shoot/Meet, Hilton Atlanta Northeast (Norcross, GA)

Hotel Information: We have secured a group rate at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast for just $74/night (plus tax). You must make your reservations directly with the hotel by contacting them at (770) 447-4747 and mention you are with the “Atlanta AMG Meet”
Registration: If you plan to attend (even if only for the photo shoot), you must request a registration packet (free) by e-mailing your request to AtlantaAMGmeet@hotmail.com. The registration packets will be forwarded by e-mail beginning September 18th.
Please request your registration packet asap as there is LIMITED SPACE for the dyno runs (approximately 25 cars) and the slots will be filled on a first come, first-served basis. Note: Above times may be subject to change slightly.

Chappy, what if we are not sure if we can bring our cars, do we still just register normally? I am looking into putting the car on a train but I'm not sure yet. What do we need to include in the email we send? Thanks again for setting this up!

Registration packets (free) will be e-mailed out beginning Monday (09/18). Yes, you will need to fill out the forms (there is a Release and Waiver as well) and select the events you will be attending. There is a cost for lunch and for the banquet, plus if you dyno your car or hit the track there will be some small additional costs.
Even if you just come for the photo shoot (free), we ask that you register in advance (and sign the Release and Waiver). We need an accurate headcount, in advance, to make this meet run smoothly. All will be explained in the registration packet.

We are grateful that our track day is part of your AMG weekend, thank you so much Steve. Anything you need, please let me know.
Silver Reynolds is the track of choice in GA. In March, people were getting runs pretty much at will, no waiting. The track is always fully prepped. There is race gas available. There is also a scale for those that want to see what their AMG beast weighs.
I plan on having your group park right in front across from us Lexus owners. We will have plenty of room under the tents, I do recommend bringing a portable chair for you to sit and relax in.
