Anyone from South Florida want to head up? The event sounds very tempting, but I don't want to ride up there by myself...........

More registrations are rolling in every day!

Our special guest for the weekend will be the AMG Brand Manager for the United States. He has accepted our invitation and will be coming down to join in the festivities.

All door prizes will be given away at either the lunch or evening banquet (including the FREE tires), but you must be pre-registered for these events. The deadline for receipt of the completed forms is October 25th as we must provide the hotel with a guaranteed number at that time for meals. We have a very small variance and "walk-in" registrations/guests may not be able to be accommodated.

Request your free registration packet at AtlantaAMGmeet@hotmail.com. See you in November!

I'm trying to talk myself into this. It's a long drive from Texas. Anyone else considering doing it from texas or passing through or on the way. It would be much more fun doing the distance in a road train.

I've posted another thread for general Caravan information here...

That way, folks can know who to contact with respect to any possible caravans.

Okay, I have got a few question I need answered.

I got my packet, and under photoshoot, it says number attending. Is this number of cars, or people? It will be just my car, but 4 people are coming with me.

Also, what exactly is the tech session? I am only bringing my car, but with a friend. Do I pay for me and him or just me?

So, with my Tech session w/ lunch, Dyno Run and Evening banquet, it's $210. Do I include my $22 Drag Racing fee in with this?

Matt - glad to hear you'll be joining us - since we'll all be using the same DynoJet, it should answer any questions about your DynoDynamics pulls and how they relate to other 63's and 55K's.

To answer your questions:

Photoshoot: # of cars participating (it's free, no limit on number of cars or number of people)

Tech Session & Dinner: # of people participating. The Tech Session is a presentation put on by AMG and includes lunch in the $20 per person cost. You mentioned you'd be bringing one car with four people - and then mentioned you and a friend. If all four attend the tech session it's 4 x $20 = $80, if it's just you and your friend, then half that. Same goes for dinner - $40 per person.

Registration for the drag event is separate - either register online in advance at http://www.SouthEastTrackDay.com and pay $22 per vehicle (gets you a free t-shirt), or pay $25 in person at the track. Note: there is also a $10 per person gate fee charged by the track.

So, totals to send in with your registration if all four attend the tech session & lunch, dyno one vehicle, & all four attend dinner, would be $280.00.

If just two of you attend the tech session & lunch, dyno one vehicle, and two attend dinner, send in $160.00 with your registration.

Hope that's clear - holla if it's not!

Thanks Beowulf for clarifying.

Basically, there is no cost except for paying for your own meals (lunch and banquet - $20 and $40 respectively) and if you choose to run the dyno or the track. Example: You wanted to spectate at the photo shoot and the dyno runs and not participate for the banquet or tech session. Your cost = $0.

At just $40 for two pulls, the dyno runs are CHEAP - compared to the normally $50-$70+ charges if you went on your own.

Drag Racing: We will be guests of the organizers of this event and so registration and payment ($22 in advance w/shirt or $25 on race day w/o shirt) must be directly with them (www.southeasttrackday.com) - another reason why it's so affordable. The track charges $10 bucks a head whether you race or not.

Keep in mind - the Hilton charges 20% service charge PLUS state sales tax on top of the cost of the meals (this is all included in the price you pay). Since I personally have to guarantee the headcount by October 25th, we must have a firm number on that date.

Please don't delay in completing your registration paperwork as "walk-ins" may not be able to participate in any events requiring pre-registration....this is exactly like planning a wedding.....an RSVP is a must!

Beowulf- Thanks so much!!! You clerified EVERYTHING! It's going to be $210 because 2 are going to be at Tech Session but 4 at the dinner.

Also, I'll bring to attention, the Hilton said that the AMG Event rooms are full, so I had to pay regular price. I went head and booked 2 rooms today. (it was only $76 a night for 2 double beds). Also, the Hilton said my age would not be a problem to check in, good news!

Well, as soon as I get comfirmed tonight my friend is going, I'll send the registration and check! I CAN'T WAIT!!

PS- Brian, shoot me a PM, we could probably meet up and ride out together.

Beowulf- Thanks so much!!! You clerified most everything. One more quick question...lol Do the 2 people attending the tech session still need to pay if they are not going to ge eating?

Matt,

Good question if you don't eat lunch - the Hilton will be setting up to accomodate a specific group number; chances are that seats will be restricted to paying patrons . . . . Chappy may want to comment here.

If you do have to pay to attend the tech session, it should be $240 total:

Two for Tech session & lunch @ $20 ea = $40.00
1 for Dyno @ $40 ea = $40.00
4 for dinner @ $40 ea = $160.00

Total to be sent w/ registration: $240.00

Glad they cut you some slack on the rooms - see you there!
